We got new details on what’s going on with the upcoming Yo-kai Watch Switch game.
We found out that a new Yo-kai Watch game was in development late last year when Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino tweeted out that it’d be based on the anime Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y - Encounter with N. And now that it’s been a few months, we’ve got some more details on just what to expect.
Courtesy of the latest issue of Corocoro, a Japanese magazine, we now know just how things are going to go in Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y, including what characters will be involved and how a typical “day” will play out.
Every day will follow the same flow of going to school, attending classes, some “free time,” going home, and then night-time activities. There are also certain club activities at school, depending on what clubs you get into. When it comes time to battle, certain characters will be available depending on your interactions with them.
Playable characters include Jinpei, Koma, Fubuki, Mataro, Mera, Ranto, Ryusuke, and an original character named Chiakai.
Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y hits the Nintendo Switch in Japan later this summer. No word yet on a North American localization, but we’ll be sure to keep you informed if it pops up.
