Gamescom officials have announced the lineup of developers and publishers for this year’s digital event and it’s a hell of a guest list. With the messy history of canceling the live event and refunding convention-goers behind it, we can all look forward to seeing a ridiculously packed show when the streams commence from August 27 to August 30.
The highlights include Microsoft (listed as Xbox), Sega Europe, Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard. We’re likely to see a bunch of new announcements from them. I wouldn’t be surprised that the titles are next-generation games that will be launching this fall, but that’s just speculation on my part.
With such a plentiful list, there’s likely to be a full day of announcements for each of Gamescom’s three days. We still don’t have a schedule of events, but that will probably be released closer to the kick-off day. It promises to be exciting and full of games, which is all you could ask for in a gaming convention.
