Animal Crossing: New Horizons is filled with tons of unique details, with a massive community that has built upon it with outfits that reference other franchises. Now, to add to that long list of tiny details, one player has discovered that the ants in the bug exhibit of Blather’s museum are able to escape their tank.

Reddit user sharkmortal was able to spot an army of ants marching down a wall and, a couple of feet to the right, up the counter of the cafeteria section of the museum.

The image showing this hilarious and easy-to-miss occurrence can be seen below.

As can be seen above screenshot, the player’s villager stands at the window of the cafeteria. This is to the right of the ant tank, which shows the ants going down the wall and up the counter in the cafeteria. It isn’t obvious where the ants are entering the cafeteria. However, as sharkmortal points out, the coffee seems to be a motivation for the ants’ escape.

And perhaps this is for the best too - or at least for the museum’s owner. While completionist players are likely trying to complete their bug collection as quickly as possible, Blathers isn’t too fond of bugs. However, Blathers doesn’t flatly detest some bugs. This includes the Madagascan sunset moth, whose beauty is recognized by Blathers.

Despite Blathers’ great dislike of bugs, they are an integral part of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons experience. There are some truly annoying bugs to catch, including the pondskater, the fly, and the giant water bug. Further, while many players use bugs as a means to pay off their loans or make purchases, some bugs are simply not worth selling, including the cicada shell and the ant.

Yet, this detail regarding bugs is hardly the only small detail in New Horizons. Another demonstrates Nook’s Cranny playing classical music 10 minutes before. This is inspired by stores in real-life, which utilize this technique to make customers leave sooner.

Who knows what details will be uncovered next?
