So here’s a neat easter egg. On Roach’s saddle in Witcher 3, Geralt has a very special book tucked in there.
The Kama Sutra was written sometime between 400 BCE and 300 CE, according to Wikipedia. It’s a book in Sanskrit that was intended to provide individuals with a guide on how to find and nurture a relationship. There’s a chapter in the Kama Sutra that goes into exhaustive detail about sexual positions, which includes interesting and vivid diagrams, and that’s the part that most people sort of get stuck on.
Believe it or not, most of the book is about courtship and having a happy marriage, but as soon as there’s a picture of some folks making the beast with two backs it’s all anyone sees. And it’s certainly all that CD Projekt Red remembered when they decided to throw a Kama Sutra into Witcher 3.
As pointed out by Reddit user notapoodle, Geralt of Rivia has a Kama Sutra tucked into the side of Roach’s saddle. The book’s title is written in Glagolitic script so there’s no way to know it’s the Kama Sutra without knowing how to translate into English, but we’ll take notapoodle’s word on that one.
It makes sense for Geralt to have a Kama Sutra. The guy is a consummate lady’s man in the series and certainly knows how to please a woman. The Kama Sutra’s inclusion would just make him even more of a Casanova.
We should note that this isn’t the only instance where Glagolitic script is used in Witcher 3. As told by Reddit user kikiclark, there’s tons of other examples to be found if you know where to look. Most instances are just repeating words already spelled out in English, but there are a few examples where they say something crude or humorous.
