The Ghost Of Tsushima is a love letter to samurai cinema and a visually stunning experience. From the wind blowing blades of grass as you prepare to hack down foes to the detail in every layer of armor you wear, Ghost of Tsushima is an immersive experience that never ceases to take your breath away. Stunning visuals are only part of the magic in this title, with gameplay and depth truly taking the experience to a whole new level. With hours upon hours of content, there is so much for you to explore, and the game never forces you to take on quests you don’t want to do.

However, while you do not have to get lost in side quests, you may want to reconsider. Sure there is no requirement that you need to complete all side quests before completing the main story, but you may be in for a little surprise if you skip some of those side quests.

Skipping Side Missions In Ghost Of Tsushima Has Consequences

User GildDigger on Reddit shows us just how skipping side missions will reflect negatively on the world of Ghost of Tsushima. While you carry out your adventures, ignoring the villagers’ pleas, you will see the consequences of these actions. The damage showcased in the open world is a testament to the level of detail and thought put into Ghost of Tsushima, as the world, ironically, feels alive and lived in when we see our actions have tangible consequences.

It would be nice to see the extent of this gameplay feature by testing out how the world reacts to completing some side quests over others, having control of shaping the world in some way, or if the mechanic is not that in-depth. One user commented on how they seemed to overlook this feature as they completed their first playthrough, and used this as an argument for a new game plus mode. Hopefully, in some future updates, we can see a new game plus mode to test out and explore some features we overlooked in the initial playthrough. A game of this size and detail is bound to have secrets that may not have been discovered just yet.
