There’s yet another little game detail in Grand Theft Auto V you most likely missed, in the form of a signature on some in-game artwork.
A few days ago someone posted a screenshot from the game on r/GamingDetails revealing a teeny tiny little signature in white on one of the paintings in Michael De Santa’s humble abode. The signature reads “R. North.”
Of course that stands for Rockstar North - the studio responsible for actually developing the Grand Theft Auto games (while Rockstar Games publishes them, and Take-Two owns the latter). Suppose we can allow them to take credit for the paintings within the game that they created from the ground up, huh?
GTA V is a massive game, and yet it still boasts an incredible attention to detail that’s been hailed as one of its many strong points. It’s packed with Easter Eggs, as well as allusions to famous movies and other games - such as Red Dead Redemption and Halo - and to the developers themselves.
Other cool examples include the discovery of an alien suspended in a frozen lake, and a face carved into the side of a mountain that could be either Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad or one of the game’s own developers.
