The Ghost of Tsushima title screen was revealed two days ago to give us another taste of what to expect when the game hits later this month, and a cool gaming detail has since been noticed.

It would seem that the title screen changes a bit depending on where the player is in the game at a given point. So far, three different versions of the title screen have been found: one with only a single sword - seemingly the default one for when you’ve yet to begin the game - another with two different swords, and a third depicting the Shinobi mask that is worn by the protagonist Jin Sakai.

We know that the screens change in that order as the player progresses, although we obviously don’t know exactly when the transitions occur. That’ll just have to be something we find out later this month.

The same title screen reveal also contained another detail that was somewhat more problematic (and amusingly ironic), in the form of a dicey Japanese translation for the Japanese version of the game. So least this title screen-changing thing is a cool and intentional detail.

Ghost of Tsushima is set to release on July 17th 2020 for PlayStation 4.
