Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game filled with fun details. From fun Easter Eggs from Nintendo, little features from the different in-game creatures like the ants and piranhas, and even some unnerving tendencies from some characters – it’s clear that the developers of the game spent a lot of time filling the game with all kinds of content.
Recently, Animal Crossing: New Horizons went through an update that added the exciting new Dream Suite feature to the game. The new update allows people to visit other players’ islands while sleeping. But while players are still discovering the mechanics of the dreaming experience itself, several players have pointed out a fun detail that happens after players wake up from their dream.
Several players have reported that when their New Horizons avatars awaken from a dream, they will find themselves lying in a unique position on their bed. Normally, when villagers lie down on their beds, their bodies are completely straight. However, after awakening from a deep and dreamy slumber, they’ll find themselves with their arms and legs bent, as if to imply that they’ve tossed and turned a bit while they were dreaming.
New Horizons player and Twitter user Mindy (@MindyKB) posted a screenshot of their villager upon awakening from a dream. As you can see, their villager’s arms are bent, as well as their right leg.
Additionally, Twitter user JazzyJay (@GoodBurger_ACNH) uploaded a video of their villager awakening from a dream. In the video, you can see the screen fade up to reveal their villager lying down in bed in their unique position. You can watch as they slowly open their eyes before hopping out of bed. Normally, I wouldn’t think a person would have that much energy after a long, relaxing sleep – but this is a game, after all!
With so many exciting additions in this latest update, a small post-dream detail might not be something players are looking out for. But be sure to keep an eye out for this the next time you wake up from visiting your friends on their dream islands!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
