There are a wide variety of weapons to obtain in Gears 5 but the most powerful by far are the relic weapons. Relic weapons are enhanced versions of the game’s basic guns like the Lancer and Torque Bow. These will help the player shred enemies and make the game just a bit easier when found.

But these weapons don’t just fall into the player’s lap. The player must find them hidden within the game’s world before they can be used and some are fairly tricky to find. This guide will give the player a general idea of where to find each of these powerful weapons in Gears 5.

17 Enforcer Relic

The first Relic weapon the player can encounter is in Act 2 Chapter 2 of Gears 5. Arriving at the first gate the player needs to follow a small path to the left.

Along this path the player will encounter a Crimson Omen insignia with the Enforcer buried in front of it.

16 Longshot Relic

After passing through the gate mentioned earlier the player jumps down to a large area with a frozen lake. On the north side of the lake is a small red boathouse.

The Longshot is located inside of this small boathouse in plain view.

15 Retro Lancer Relic

This Relic weapon is found in Chapter 4 of Act 2 beyond the Old COG Wall. On the other side of the Old COG Wall is a frozen pond. One the western side of the pond is a large rock with a Crimson Omen on its side.

A short distance to the right of the symbol is a tree with the iconic Gears Of WarRetro Lancer resting against it.

14 Boltok Relic

In the same chapter the player can find a Condor Crash Site on the east side of the frozen area. It’s located at the end of the right path from the Old COG Wall.

The Relic weapon is located northeast of the crash site near a large ice wall. It’s located to the right of the Crimson Omen found on the wall.

13 Torque Bow Relic

In the same area of Gears 5 is the Torque Bow Relic. In the southeastern area of the map, past the Radio Tower, is a side mission at the Abandoned Mine.

To the right of the mine’s entrance is a small path leading up the hills and past several felled trees. The weapon is located at the end of the path.

12 Dropshot Relic

To get the freezing Dropshot the player needs to go to the final lake located in the northeastern corner of Chapter 4 in Act 2.

Below the large iceberg is a small entrance with a path under the ice. Inside this hollowed out section is the Dropshot Relic.

11 Boomshot Relic

The final Relic located in this area and Act 2 is north of the Old COG wall. In the north-northwest part of the map is the North Comms Tower with the North Tower Substation to the right of it.

Behind this substation is a Crimson Omen insignia to the right of the main entrance with the weapon lying next to it.

10 Talon Relic

In the beginning of Act 3 is an abandoned airfield being used as a base of operations. South of the airport is Hanger 1.

To the right of the main entrance is the Talon Relic resting against the outer wall.

9 Lancer Grenade Launcher Relic

This weapon is located south of the Water Tower and slightly northwest of the Cosmonaut Training Facility.

At the base of the cliff found there are three columns holding the cliff up. At the base of the center column is the Lancer Grenade Launcher Relic.

8 Gnasher Relic

Directly north of where the Lancer Grenade Launcher Relic was found is a fence at the edge of the map.

The fence connects to a cliff face on the left side. On that cliff wall is a Crimson Omen insignia, to the right of that symbol will be the Gnasher Relic.

7 Claw Relic

North of the Cosmonaut Training Facility on the edge of the map follow the edge to the east. There will be a cluster of cylindrical buildings.

One of these buildings has a Crimson Omen insignia on the other side of that same building is a bush by itself. At the base of that bush is the Claw Relic.

6 Hammerburst Relic

To find this Relic the player needs to start on the eastern side of the City Ruins and head into the desert.

There will be a large building with a flag outside. South of this building is a cylindrical tower surrounded by a fence. Near here is a stack of munitions crates and a corpse. Next to the body is the Hammerburst Relic.

5 Markza Relic

The best way to find this Relic is to start the side mission that tasks you with starting a pump station back up to get the water flowing for the locals.

At the pump station is a cluster of abandoned cars against the rock wall. The Markza Relic will be in the trunk of one of the cars.

4 Snub Relic

This Relic is found southeast of the massive Rock Hanger. Along the gold and white wall will be a Crimson Omen insignia.

The Relic will be nearby on a rock in front of the symbol.

3 Overkill Relic

For this Relic head south to a large boulder within view of the building. The player will know they’re in the right spot by the Crimson Omen insignia and the swarm of Deebees that attacks.

After dealing with the threat the Relic will be on the opposite side of the symbol at the base of the rock.

2 Lancer Relic

The Relic version of the iconic Gears Of War weapon is found by taking on the side mission in the southern section of the desert.

It’ll take the player to the Cargo Shipwreck. Where the ship meets the rock is a small opening with the Relic resting inside.

1 Embar Relic

The final Relic the player can encounter in Gears 5 is after the sandstorm. Continuing southeast the player will encounter a downed Condor.

The player will want the tail section of the craft off to the west of the main wreckage. The relic is nestled among some blue containers.
