Recently, Gears Tactics was rated by the ESRB for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, which could indicate that the game will release on the consoles soon.

Gears Tactics, which is available on PC, has been rated M for mature. The rating makes sense, as other Geras of War games have also received the same rating. The reason for its M rating is based on the game’s realistic gunfire noises, decapitations, and blood splatters. The game also has depictions of curse words and violent cutscenes. The good news is that the rating might indicate that the game could launch on Xbox One soon.

What is also interesting is that Gears Tactics also received a rating for the Xbox Series X, which could mean that the game might launch on the Xbox Series X sometime during its launch window. Perhaps it will take advantage of the Xbox Smart Delivery system. Still, it is interesting that the game got a separate rating for Series X, considering that it would likely be backward compatible anyway.

Gears Tactics was released on PC earlier this year and is a turned-based strategy game set 12 years before the first Gears of War game. The game plays similar to the XCOM games. Gears Tactics is the second Xbox franchise that has taken the strategic approach after Halo was turned into an RTS with the Halo Wars franchise.

Gears Tactics is currently available on PC and can be accessed by those with Xbox Game Pass PC. The game is expected to come out on Xbox One later this year, where it will available to play through Game Pass. Though there isn’t much yet known about its release on Xbox Series X, it seems likely that Gears Tactics might get a separate release on the new console. Hopefully we’ll find out more soon.
