The gaming community still has a lot of events to look forward to this summer, and Gen.G has just added to the hype. The global esports organization has announced its partnership with Samsung to host two mobile gaming events.

The announcement stated that the two events would be a Minecraft Pocket-Edition Build Contest on Thursday, July 16 and a PUBG Lonestar Mobile Gaming College Championship on Saturday, August 1. The tournaments are reported to have been created to unite the different gaming communities in one event. Celebrity judges for the tournament will include, Wrestler Booker-T and Minecraft content creators Ryguyrocky and Shubble.

The Minecraft contest will center around its theme of ‘Building Connections’ by inspiring participants to craft the various objects that symbolize togetherness. The celebrity judges will select the winners of the contest, who will then receive multiple high-end gadgets that are part of the contest’s prize pool including, AKG N60 Noise Cancelling Headphones and a Galaxy Watch Active2. Builders who impress will also be selected to compete in the live streaming event hosted on Samsung’s Twitch channel which airs July 16.

The second mobile event from Gen.G and Samsung’s collaboration will be the Lonestar College Championship featuring college students, gaming personalities and Esports clubs as they participate in the PUGB mobile gaming tournament. Players will be representing their chosen Texas school as they enter the battle royale arena. The finalists and champion esports club will be in with the chance of winning a Notebook Odyssey Z as well as the aforementioned prizes. Winners will also be able to get the VIP treatment and meet Gen.G’s PUBG World Championship team to receive autographed jersey’s
