Genshin Impact is a game full of unique characters and elemental magic. In the game, there are gems called visions that are granted by the gods. Only a select few are granted visions, and many consider them to be proof of acknowledgment of their abilities. Vision holders all have exceptionally unique personalities, and from the lore currently in the game, it seems that those who are trying for a vision are never the ones to receive one.

There is also quite a bit of lore that points to the possibility that visions are more of a curse. Regardless, the ten characters below didn’t exactly see the visions in the same light as most of Teyvat.

10 Ningguang

Ningguang isn’t exactly the warmest cast member, to begin with, so being on this list shouldn’t surprise fans. When Ningguang got her vision, she saw it as a business opportunity as it didn’t immediately activate, and when it did, she wasn’t happy about it.

Ningguang was actually planning to auction the unactivated vision off at a hefty price.

9 Sucrose

Sucrose was a curious girl who was happy to just work with alchemy. She never seemed to give much thought to being a hero or having a vision. In fact, the moment she received her vision, she was in the alchemy lab performing an experiment.

The vision spawned after her experiment finished, and since it was already in the pot, Sucrose decided this would be an excellent chance to experiment on it.

8 Albedo

Albedo is probably the most dismissive out of the cast. In the game lore, it states that Albedo was not surprised to receive his vision; it was actually expected by him. When it formed, who merely looked down to verify that it was there and then continued on with his day.

Albedo only saw his vision as a way to help further his research, which is the only thing he really seems to care about.

7 Qiqi

Qiqi didn’t have a chance to appreciate her vision, and the fact she received it did nothing more than to somewhat save her life. Qiqi was a herb gatherer that injured her leg; when bandaging it into a nearby cave, she fell into another realm in the middle of a vicious fight and died.

The cryo vision appeared, and the Adeptus revived her only for the power to drive her berserk, forcing Mountain Shaper to trap her in amber.

6 Noelle

Noelle is a sweet girl who has always dreamed of joining the knights. She is incredibly strong, diligent, and has a helpful attitude that the rest of the cast loves. This was recognized by the gods who sent a vision to the young girl, but to her surprise, it was a geo vision.

Noelle believed that she would be a better fit with another element like pyro or anemo.

5 Keqing

Keqing is a very forward-thinking woman who believed that humans should take over protecting Liyue. She doesn’t like the idea of relying on the Adeptus to protect her region and doesn’t take kindly to things like visions. When Keqing received an electro vision, she actually took it as an insult.

Keqing was so put off by her vision that she actually tried to destroy it before finally learning to use it.

4 Kaeya

Kaeya is a character with a complicated past as he was originally a spy sent to help sabotage Mondstadt. Due to this, the origin of his vision is painful and something he refuses to speak of to others. The night he received the vision was the same he lost the trust of Diluc, and his adoptive father died.

Because of this, the vision, while helpful, will always be a reminder of Kaeya’s dark past.

3 Xiao

Xiao is another character that’s vision is linked to tragedy. While he does use the power of anemo to protect the people of Liyue, he probably didn’t receive it while working with Zhongli. Instead, he seems to have received the power when he was under the control of an evil god.

The vision is nothing more than a mark of the endless fighting that the Yaksha must eternally endure.

2 Mona

Mona is another character who isn’t really impressed by visions. In fact, she doesn’t see it as a practical device and is more interested in her hydromancy than having the power of the hydro element. Mona sees her vision more as a reminder of her teacher than as something she should be grateful for.

Mona, like many of the other users on this list, doesn’t take the vision to be a sign of her greatness.

1 Diluc

Diluc has a complicated past with his vision as he was excited to receive it at first. After he watched his father die, though, he saw his vision as useless and actually abandoned it for around a year. While he did come back for it and now uses it to fight the Abyss Mages, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him leave it again.

Diluc is a complicated individual whose heart is always in the right place, but he doesn’t hold his vision in reverence as others do.
