The Adventurers’ Guild of Genshin Impact becomes more and more important as players progress through the game. It’s also crucial to getting the most out of the experience, both for making your characters stronger and for having fun with Genshin Impact in general.
There’s actually a lot going on at the Adventurers’ Guild, and it’s helpful to know the details. From story and lore-related details about how the Guild plays its role in Teyvat, to the sorts of rewards players can get from visiting its branches every day, these facts about the Adventurers’ Guild will help any player get accustomed to the adventuring life.
10 They’re Always Looking For New Recruits
This is a subject that is talked about both in the game and in the Genshin Impact manga. It’s not long after the Traveler first arrives in Mondstadt that they are called over by Katheryne, the receptionist of the Adventurers’ Guild, and given an overview of how they work.
The Adventurers’ Guild offers some jobs that may seem simple or trivial, but adventurers have to be prepared for the worst. Even just the simple task of finding a lost cat may result in recruits having to face a formidable enemy in order to get to their goal.
9 The Receptionists And The Motto
When players approach the Adventurers’ Guild headquarters in Mondstadt for the first time, they will notice the receptionist that they can speak with. Her name is Katheryne, and she introduces herself and the Guild with their motto, “Ad Astra Abyssoque,” which translates to “To the Stars and the Abyss.”
Both stars and the Abyss are key themes in Genshin Impact, with Starglitter and Stardust being two of the many currencies in the game. Besides that, there’s another silly fact about the receptionist. There are multiple Katherynes, and they are identical, too. So, no matter which of the Adventurers’ Guild headquarters the traveler visits, Katheryne will be there to greet them.
8 Adventure Rank Rewards
Almost any and every activity players do in the world of Genshin Impact will net them some amount of Adventure EXP. You can get them by doing Ley Line challenges, discovering new areas, opening treasure chests, doing missions, and unlocking teleport waypoints.
These experience points accumulate and eventually, with enough of them, your Adventure Rank goes up. Once it does, players can drop by the Adventurers’ Guild to pick up rewards for their rank increase. The rewards naturally get better and better the higher your Adventure Rank gets, so make sure to check back with Katheryne frequently.
7 Claim Daily Commission Rewards
As players rack up their Adventure Rank in Genshin Impact by completing missions, exploring, and unlocking teleport waypoints, they eventually reach Adventure Rank 12, which is when the Daily Commission system is unlocked.
Daily Commissions are a set of four daily random missions that can be anything from clearing out an enemy camp to feeding some ducks (sorry, Timmie). One of the most attractive incentives about doing the daily commissions is that players can get up to 60 Primogems a day as a reward. With every completed commission, players are awarded 10 Primogems. If they do all four, they get a bonus 20 Primogems.
6 Doing Expeditions Through The Guild
Once players reach Adventure Rank 14, they unlock a new mechanic to take advantage of at the Adventurers’ Guild. By speaking with Katheryne, you can start sending characters out on expeditions. As players progress, more expedition locations and resources are unlocked, as well as the ability to send out more and more characters on expeditions.
The expeditions take real-world time to complete, so characters can be sent out for four, eight, or more hours. The more hours they’re out for, the more resources they’ll gather. Some characters, such as Chongyun or Bennett, complete expeditions faster in certain regions. Expeditions happen in the background while you play the game or even when Genshin Impact is turned off. It’s a great way to steadily gather resources and Mora over time.
5 Adventurer’s Guild HQ
As players explore Teyvat, they will notice Adventurers’ Guild headquarters in both Mondstadt and Liyue. They both offer the same services, and the receptionists are identical Katherynes.
This concept stays consistent across the world of Genshin Impact. Though players aren’t able to explore other regions yet, the Adventurers’ Guild has headquarters in each of Teyvat’s seven regions. The game hasn’t revealed much about the origins of the Adventurers’ Guild yet, but it is known that their main headquarters are located in Snezhnaya, the wintry land of the Fatui.
4 Bennett’s Role In The Adventurers’ Guild
One of the playable characters in Genshin Impact that players can acquire through the gacha system is Bennett, an unlucky but good-natured boy who loves adventure. His element is fire, known as Pyro in the game, and many players love him for his versatile abilities and uses, including DPS and healing.
What you may not know is that Bennett is actually a member of the Adventurers’ Guild as well. According to the roles of the Guild, he is one of their adventurers, which makes sense, given that he loves exploring. Another important thing to note is that sending him out on expeditions in Mondstadt, he takes 25% less time to complete the task than other characters, demonstrating how well he knows the region.
3 Fischl’s Role In The Adventurers’ Guild
Bennett isn’t the only playable character (besides the Traveler) who is part of the Adventurers’ Guild. Fischl, the mysterious and eccentric Electro archer, also works for the Guild. Hardworking, intelligent, and imaginative, Fischl and her raven, Oz, make quite a team.
Fischl is noted for being particularly good at investigating things, and so it makes sense that she works for the Adventurers’ Guild as an investigator in their Intelligence Department. As with Bennett, Fischl also takes 25% less time doing expeditions in Mondstadt, as she knows her way around the land.
2 Other Key Members Of The Guild
Players will encounter plenty of the other members of the Adventurers’ Guild both in Mondstadt and Liyue. They are easily spotted thanks to their green uniform, and by speaking to them, the Traveler can gain interesting insights about the Guild and region.
For example, one of the first such characters you may encounter would be Cyrus in Mondstadt. He’s enthusiastic and always looking for new talent to join the Guild. Then there’s Dr. Livingstone, who can be found wandering all around Mondstadt, deep in thought.
1 The Adventurer Handbook
One of the very useful items that the Guild provides to new members is the Adventurer Handbook. It can be easily overlooked if players are not careful, but it’s packed with useful features that make the experience of being an adventurer more pleasant and enjoyable.
The Adventurer Handbook can be opened with the press of a button at any time, and lets players track their achievements while providing rewards for completing them. It also lets you track your commission progress, shows which Domains are available and what rewards they offer, and provides a handy list of enemies and where to find them. This proves especially useful when you’re looking for one particular material that only certain enemies drop.
