Venti is one of the most popular characters in Genshin Impact, even for those who haven’t pulled him. He is a major part of the story, and one of the few comedic characters in the game. In contrast to Zhongli, he doesn’t seem like much of an archon at all as he prefers to let Mondstadt grow on its own.
Even with his carefree nature though, Venti has stepped in throughout history, especially when the spirit of freedom was threatened. In the modern-day, Venti takes the form of a bard who wanders around Mondstadt happily partaking in its variety of fine wines.
10 Sucrose Gets Downgraded
Sucrose is the only four-star anemo character, making the element a bit hard to get for normal players. Sadly, the fact her moves are all essentially less powerful versions of Venti’s makes her pretty much obsolete unless players are simply in love with her design.
As soon as someone pulls Venti, it’s time for poor Sucrose to take a seat on the bench.
9 It Was The Cecila All Along
Mondstadt was in a huge debate during the Windblume festival over what the official flower should be. Venti, of course, lets them fight it out as he sees no reason to intervene or help set the records straight, even though he obviously loves Cecilia.
It’s almost like Venti enjoys watching all the chaos that years of mixed traditions have created in Mondstadt.
8 Can I Get A Iced Decaf Anemo Archon Mocha?
Genshin Impact players will never be able to order a drink from Starbucks the same way. Venti is the coffee chain’s second-largest size beverage, with only the Trenta overtaking it.
Before the game’s release, Venti was a way to ask for a large coffee, now it’s associated with a drunk bard. It’s amazing just how the popularity of a single piece of media can change the meaning of a word.
7 Windblume is For Wine Lovers
Mondstadt is very well-established in the game’s lore as the wine capital of the world. Almost everything the town does somehow revolves around the wine industry and Venti loves this. Venti is able to drink as much as he wants without passing out and Windblume is just another excuse to do so.
It’s safe to say that Mondstadt probably drinks more than any other real-world country and Venti is happy things turned out that way.
6 Summoning Venti
Pulling a five-star character on a banner is extremely hard thanks to the love pull rate. Many players have taken to elaborate rituals to try to boost their luck when pulling Venti. While most players will sit in the hands of his statue, true fans know that Venti’s true passion is wine.
Buying Venti a drink at Angel’s Share will certainly entice him to join a player’s party, especially if they pick up an entire tab.
5 Venti’s Calm Expression
Venti players have probably noticed just how cheerful he is. Venti is happy whether he is running through fields, downing a drink, or destroying enemies on a battlefield. This is likely a horrifying sight for the poor Hilichurls caught up in his attacks since he always seems to be smiling.
Just imagine being in the middle of a tornado while someone watches you happily from a distance.
4 Paimon Hates Venti
Paimon has a very obvious distaste for Venti, which is honestly a bit troublesome. Despite the fact that she knows his true identity, she continues to throw insults at him. On top of that, it seems that no matter what Venti says or does, Paimon is irritated with him.
Venti would just like to get along with everyone, but Paimon isn’t having it no matter how much he tries to get along with her.
3 Venti is Secretly Aqua
Some of Venti’s lines in the game seem like they come right out of Aqua’s mouth. In the show Konosuba, Aqua is the goddess of water, but no one actually believes her. This is similar to how virtually no one in Mondstadt knows who Venti is.
Venti even tries to get a reaction out of the Traveler after revealing himself, much like Aqua does to her followers.
2 Barbara Doesn’t Like You
While Venti and Barbara haven’t been shown interacting in the game much, she does have a complete meltdown in front of him. She believes that due to the Holy Lyre’s state, she can never be forgiven, and no reassurance from Venti would probably ever make her believe him.
Seeing Barbara and Venti interact in the future is a perfect excuse for comedy.
1 He’s Older Than He Looks
Venti is thousands of years old, despite the fact that he looks like a teenager in the game. This combined with the fact that no one sees him as the anemo archon makes this meme painfully accurate. While Mondstadt wouldn’t be cruel to Venti for his claims, they would never believe him.
It’s even possible that Barbara and the others would try to help him out and worry about his health.
