Qiqi is a mysterious Genshin Impact character who is first introduced during the story. At first glance, she appears to be a little girl who helps out at the pharmacy. She seems to often get confused and has a strange love for coconut milk. On the battlefield, Qiqi is especially useful since she has the power to heal party members and is a five-star cryo character.

This, combined with her ability to locate herbs, makes her a perfect pull for most gamers. Despite her helpful nature and seemingly innocent appearance though Qiqi has more than her fair share of secrets, problems, and dark memories.

Updated March 3rd, 2021 by Jessica Thomas: Now that Qiqi’s true nemesis Hu Tao has finally been released, fans can’t escape seeing the two together. Qiqi is a zombie blessed with the chance at a second life, and this makes her a very unique character. She also acts as one of the best healers in the game, and her C6 constellation can revive your whole team. Qiqi is sadly one of the few five-stars not to get a story chapter, but Mihoyo still gives players a lot of information about the innocent character.

12 She Hates Hu Tao

Hu Tao and Qiqi’s relationship is nothing short of a train wreck. Hu Tao is attempted to kidnap poor Qiqi on several occasions. This included stuffing her in a duffle bag and trying to bury her. This was stopped by Dr. Baizhu, but Qiqi is yet to forget Hu Tao’s treatment. While Hu Tao seems to want to be friends in recent days, Qiqi isn’t willing to accept her friendship anytime soon.

11 She Loves Coconut Milk

Qiqi appears in the Liyue storyline, where she requests the traveler to find the mythical coco goat. This doesn’t really assist, and what she is actually searching for is none other than coconut milk. Mihoyo regularly depicts Qiqi enjoying this beverage, and Baizhu even works with the Fatui to get it. It’s safe to say that Qiqi usually gets what she wants from Dr. Baizhu.

10 Her Memory Is Bad

One of the very first things players learn from reading QiQi’s story is just how bad her memory is. She has a hard time remembering things for longer than three days. While her short-term memory is bad, she does have the ability to commit important information to long term memory. With that being said, Qiqi admits to not remembering many of the people she has met before.

9 Her Age Is A Mystery

Despite the fact that Qiqi looks like a child, her actual age is a bit of a mystery. Qiqi was changed into a zombie over a hundred years ago, and her body has not aged since leaving her forever young. Qiqi doesn’t seem to mind this much, though, as she is just glad to be somewhat alive. This appearance does fool many of the people of Liyue, especially when she is in the field.

8 She Was Imprisoned For Some Time

When Qiqi was brought back to life, her power went out of control, and she went into a rage like state. Because of this, one of the Adeptus decided to seal her inside of a piece of amber in order to stop her from destroying the things around her. She stayed in this state for over one hundred years.

After being found by some explorers, she broke her seal and escaped into the night to find herbs.

7 She Exercises Regularly

Being a zombie comes with a lot of downsides for Qiqi, and she is determined to stay as human as possible. To ensure her body never gets stuck, she does daily workouts that help her to remember how to move properly. She feels like this keeps her acting more human when walking around. She generally does this outside of town, as shown with her dialogue about Dusky Ming.

6 She Had A Bad Past

While nothing is really elaborated on other than how she died in crossfire between Adeptus and demons, Qiqi had a tragic past. Her story states that she may be better off a zombie as she isn’t forced to remember painful things. Qiqi also seems fine with living with this arrangement. It’s likely that Qiqi had a bad upbringing, which led to her being killed in the first place.

5 Qiqi Is A Special Zombie

In the game’s lore, zombies can be awakened by a creator but don’t have much of a will of their own. The creator must give the zombie orders, and the zombie won’t be able to ignore the order it is given. This means that even if the task is impossible, the zombie will be forced to try. The only way the zombie can switch to a different task is if the creator tells them that they can.

4 Orders Can Be Complicated

Qiqi can give herself her own orders since she was never awakened by anyone. These orders are sometimes complicated, though, as they can get her stuck on tasks. This can mostly be seen when she is trying to gather herbs and gets stuck, staring at one from the bottom of a cliff.

Others can help her by switching these orders, but things are still complicated for a small zombie.

3 She Wants A Finch

Despite the fact that she is a zombie, As it turns out, she adores finches and enjoys watching them when they are outside of the pharmacy. She even admits that she would probably enjoy having a finch as a pet one day. While Qiqi may not be the best pet owner due to her memory, she would likely try to care for the finch her hardest.

2 She Despises The Heat

Since Qiqi has an undead body, she must work hard to make sure that it is protected. Because of this, Qiqi prefers to stay out of hot areas that could speed up the process of her body rotting. She prefers to stay inside on days where it’s really sunny or really hot out. Qiqi does enjoy exploring cold areas, though where she feels she can freely take her time gathering herbs.

1 She Isn’t Very Childish

Despite her young appearance, Qiqi’s dialogue isn’t always that of a young child. She understands her strengths and even has dark wishes towards one of the game’s other characters. This dialogue makes it even harder to figure out how old she truly is. On the flip side, she does have some more playful voice lines that are unlocked earlier on.
