There are currently fourteen five-star characters in Genshin Impact, and they are all pretty unique. No two characters look the same, and they all have vastly different fighting styles. This makes it pretty hard on players, especially for free-to-play gamers who can’t afford to roll on every banner.
While you probably already have your favorite picked out, there is a lot to be said about each one, especially when it comes to their design. The list below is here for a bit of fun and ranks all of the five stars based on their costume and how they are presented in the in-game world of Teyvat.
14 Tartaglia
Tartaglia is a great character; he is dark and lovable at the same time, which draws a lot of players in. He also is able to switch between his combat type, which is a huge plus in battle.
His outfit is pretty boring, though, especially when looking at the other Fatui Harbingers like La Signora.
13 Eula
Eula is another member of the knights, and her costume follows the same color scheme as Jean and Albedo. The tie on her costume is a nice touch, and it’s nice to see that her knight outfit looks a bit less formal.
A ballroom-themed outfit would be a treat for this character.
12 Albedo
Albedo is a bit plain in comparison to the other characters, and while he is a great geo support unit, he doesn’t get as much love. He falls into a similar color scheme as Jean, and it’s obvious that he is part of the knights.
The lab coat look is also a nice touch, but it just doesn’t compare to some of the other geo picks like Noelle.
11 Jean
Jean looks like she would be in charge of the knights and is one of the few females in the game wearing pants. Her costume has nice gold accents, but she just doesn’t feel as flashy as some other five stars.
This is a character who really needs a few costumes to help flesh out her wardrobe.
10 Diluc
Diluc is a character that is known for being a posh-looking gentleman. His black and red color contrast helps him to be almost instantly recognizable, but let’s all be honest, his KFC outfit was better.
Diluc skins are a welcome addition and could really help this pyro powerhouse stand out more.
9 Zhongli
Zhongli is the lord of geo and has no shortage of fans. He wears a lavish brown suit and has a lot of little ornaments that help him stand out. He also has a stylish dangling feather earring along with a ponytail that turns yellow at the end.
Zhongli looks like a dashing gentleman, and fans can’t wait to get his Archon War outfit.
8 Keqing
Keqing is a character with long twin tails reminiscent of Sailor Moon and a purple dress that is instantly recognizable. Even her tights have little designs on them that help her look just a bit more dashing.
7 Hu Tao
Hu Tao isn’t your traditional Liyue resident, and her all-black outfit and ghost companion prove it. Hu Tao is the gothic character that players didn’t know they needed, and her outfit is simple but extremely noticeable.
The small details like her black nails and the flower on her hat really help to make Hu Tao pop.
6 Ganyu
Ganyu is an adepti and a DPS bow user, which already makes her pretty special. She is a character that has horns and wears a bell as a necklace. Like Keqing, she even has decals on her tights, and her vision is placed in an interesting trinket.
5 Qiqi
Qiqi is one of the most interesting designs in the game as she is a zombie child. Talismans are plastered all over her body, and one even hangs down from her hat in front of her face. She also has a large necklace, and her whole outfit has a traditional feel.
It’s really a toss-up whether Qiqi or Klee has the better design out of the young members of the five-star cast.
4 Klee
Klee is an insanely popular character, and her outfit has a lot of little touches that just bring her together perfectly. From her backpack charm to her hat, Klee is an adorable little girl that really stands out from the crowd.
Her design really departs from the rest of the five-star knight, and that’s a good thing.
3 Venti
Venti is a fun character, and his design emphasizes that. Everything about Venti pops out, from his colorful hair to his pumpkin-shaped pants. He even has a matching flower on his hat and instrument.
Even his archon outfit looks incredibly unique and is something that players are begging Mihoyo for.
2 Xiao
Xiao is another stand-out character who dawns a mask for his ultimate. He has a lot going on with his design, and players are huge fans of his tattoos and his less formal design.
Xiao looks like he is made for battle, and his mask can even be seen on his side at all times.
1 Mona
Mona is an incredibly interesting design and wears a pointy hat with an astronomy theme. In fact, her whole outfit is rather unique compared to the rest of the cast and features a celestial theme.
Her strange outfit and pigtails do make her a bit hard to cosplay, but her design is out of this world.
