The addition of hang-out events surprised everyone in the Genshin Impact community. These events let players get to know their favorite characters ever and get pictures that are similar to awards given out for completing routes in dating sims and otome games. Players are happy to hear that more characters will get the events and have been extremely vocal about which members of the cast they would want to date.
There are currently 30 playable characters, with Rosaria set to release in April. While this is a lot of characters to consider for the event, it’s safe to say some characters like Ningguang are more in demand.
10 Ningguang - “I’m Really Focused On My Career Right Now”
Ningguang is known in Liyue for her cold attitude towards suitors and sends all of her romantic candidates away. Ningguang loves mora, and if her interactions don’t involve helping Liyue or business, she simply just isn’t interested in putting up with them.
Fans want to see how a date with Ningguang could go and what could possibly pull her away from work.
9 Beidou - The Woo Girl
Beidou is a hardworking girl who’s feared by her enemies. She has incredible strength, commands a ship, and is one of the few people who can best Ningguang. Going on a date with Beidou would likely lead to a tavern or going on an adventure to fight a strong monster.
Either way, players can’t wait to actually learn more about this popular four-star character.
8 Hu Tao - The Quirky One
Hu Tao is a very strange human and doesn’t seem to have many friends. In fact, Hu Tao tends to make most of the people living in Liyue Harbor dislike her. It’s only natural that players wonder what type of date this strange woman would want to go on and if it would involve more coupons.
Hu Tao would likely be one of the most interesting hangout events in the game due to her strange sense of humor. Think of the possibilities!
7 Albedo - The Oddball
Albedo was introduced in Dragonspine and stirred up rumors as the game heavily hints at him not being human. Albedo also seems to be incredibly interested in the Traveler and feels that the two have a lot in common.
The event could help shed some light on what Albedo truly is and how he is dealing with the world around him as a powerful alchemist.
6 Amber - The Well-Meaning
Amber is a character that only gets way too much hate. Amber is a character designed for exploration and the outrider of the Knights of Favonius. She has a cheery personality and is the first one to help the Traveler when they come to Mondstadt searching for their sibling.
Amber’s overall attitude would be fun to further explore, especially if it involves a gliding date.
5 Sucrose - The Shy Academic
Sucrose is a shy girl who has trouble socializing with others. She tries her best to help the Traveler, though and deeply worries for those around her. She is a brilliant alchemist, and when given the chance to talk about something she loves, she gets excited.
Sucrose also likes to hide her ears, so a date focusing on making her more confident would delight her fans.
4 Zhongli - The Suave Old-But-Still-Handsome Guy
Zhongli is the geo archon, thousands of years old, and has amassed a fan club of players who want to date him. Zhongli seems to have never really settled down, and players want to change that.
It would be interesting to talk with him more about his past and learn more about his fear of seafood. Zhongli wouldn’t be able to pay for anything, though, as he seems to always forget his mora.
3 Xiao - The Duty-Bound Yaksha
Xiao is a Yaksha and has a hard time dealing with the hundreds of years he’s spent fighting. Despite this, he seems rather happy to meet people who care about him. Xiao does seem to have a hard time expressing his feelings and getting close to others, and fans want to overcome this.
Even if the event just focused on playing music to help calm Xiao, it would be well worth the story keys.
2 Kaeya - The Sarcastic Trickster
Kaeya is a shady character who was once a spy placed into Mondstadt to ruin its wine industry. He now works for the knights, but his trouble-causing nature is still working in full force. Kaeya loves teasing people, especially if they are gullible enough to believe the stories he makes up.
His event could focus on getting him to honestly open up or on trying to rebuild his relationship with Diluc.
1 Tartaglia - Big Virgo Energy
Tartaglia won the hearts of fans online during his story event when he told the Traveler he wanted them to meet his family. This set up a perfect opening for a hang-out event that could show more of Tartaglia’s softer side and just how much he thinks of those close to him.
Tartaglia is also part of the Fatui, but he doesn’t agree with most of their methods for gaining control of neighboring regions.
