Genshin Impact has been inviting players to track down special meteorite fragments as part of the Unreconciled Stars event for some time now, but as the event continues to unfold, many are starting to wonder where to invest their mounds of event currency. The Unreconciled Stars Event Shop has been open since the special questline was made available, however its contents have remained static, leaving many players with equally large amounts of indecision and Fading Star’s Might.
Travelers were treated to several new playable characters, as well as new story quests, with the game’s Version 1.1 update. That said, the Genshin Impact patch also marked the beginning of the game’s first major limited-time narrative event, Unreconciled Stars, which allows players to help solve a case of mysterious sleep-inducing meteors, while earning a chance at rare items, and characters like Fischl.
The Unreconciled Stars event offers various different rewards throughout its varying components, some of which are given directly to the player, others of which can be purchased from the Event Shop with special currency. In order to take advantage of the full scope of rewards, Travelers should prepare to:
- Find Meteorite Shards across six different regions Salvage Meteorite Remains with help from Hydro mage and astrologer Mona Collect and submit celestial energy for the Fallen Star challenge Complete a collection of Meteoric Wave world quests Complete three “Prinzessin’s Pact” challenges
Phase 1 of the Unreconciled Stars event, Unknown Star, started on November 16th, with Phase 2, Star of Deceitful Dreams, following shortly thereafter on November 18th - both of these phases allowed players new ways to collect Fading Star’s Might, which can be used to purchase rewards from one half of the Event Shop. Phase 3, Star of Destiny, just became available on November 23rd, and allows Travelers to gather rare Fading Star’s Essence, which is used for the other half of the Event Shop’s products.
Aside from Fading Star’s Might and Essence, which are of course needed to redeem some of these rewards, the main highlights of the Unreconciled Stars event reward pool are as follows:
- Primogems Crown of Sagehood Hero’s Wit Mora Ascension Materials
Players will earn Primogems for just about every aspect of this event (and Genshin Impact at-large, honestly), so be sure to take a jab at every possible feature of the event. Collecting just seven of the total ~20+ Meteorite Shards found near each event impact site will grant players a bundle of Primogems, as will completing each Meteoric Wave quest (note: Wave quests can only be accessed via the button at the bottom-left of the Unreconciled Stars event menu). Players will also receive Primogems for every five Meteorite Remains salvaged, up to a total of 30 Meteorite Remains.
Insofar as the Event Shop, players should prioritize the coveted Crown of Sagehood Talent Ascension Material first and foremost. This item is only available from events, and is needed for every single character - the Crown of Sagehood is the most valuable item in the Event Shop. Aside from that, Travelers are encouraged to pour their Fading Star’s Might into Hero’s Wit and mora, which are both hard to come by, but bountifully available from this Event’s Shop. If players find themselves with extra Fading Star’s Essence, they should verify their character’s Talent Ascension needs and purchase some of the available Ascension books from the shop too, as it’ll save time otherwise spent dungeon-crawling.
Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
