During the new Wishful Drops event in Genshin Impact you’ll meet a young Oceanid named Endora who can help you to collect a ton of free primogems. By helping Endora out, you’ll also gain access to the special event Rhodeia boss fight, which can net you tons of free leveling books. To access the quest, you must be at least adventure rank 20.

Now that all the parts of Endora’s event are out, it’s a great time to do the full event and claim your free Oceanid pet. If you are having a bit of trouble getting started or using Endora, then the guide below is here to help!

Finding Endora

To make Endora appear, you must start the Life Flows on quest by talking to Katheryn in Mondstadt and then Connor at the Dawn Winery.

After these conversations are done, follow the river towards Stone Gate from the winery, there will be a location market on your map. If you can’t find him, refer to this image below:

Here you will find a group of hydro slimes that need to be defeated.

Make quick work of them using a pyro, electro, or cryo character to release Endora and add him as a gadget into your inventory. Note that this item will disappear after the event ends.

Equipping Endora

After freeing Endora, he will be added to your gadgets inventory. To equip him, open your bag and go to the gadgets section.

  • He will look like a bottle instead of an Oceanid, which can be a bit confusing.

Move over to the bottle that says Inquisitive Endora and press the select button to automatically equip him.

Using Endora

Once you have equipped Endora, press the indicated buttons to release him on your screen. These are the same buttons that are used to take pictures with the kamera. Once Endora is activated, he will take over the elemental skill button. When pressing the skill button after he’s activated, a curved blue line will appear. The longer you hold in the skill button, the further out the line will go.

  • To capture a hydro creature, the circle at the end of the line must be touching their body.

To release the bubble, let go of the skill button. When a creature is successfully captured, the bubble will grow to encompass the entirety of the creature’s body. After a few seconds, the bubble will disappear and your progress percentage will increase. Endora will go into a short cool down between each bubble. In addition, bubbles that don’t hit their targets will pop after a few seconds.

If you no longer want to use Endora or have found yourself in a fight, simply press the button used to release him once again. This will place him back into standby mode until you are ready to use him once again.
