Today marks the beginning of the third and final phase in the Unreconciled Stars event in Genshin Impact. This new phase brings with it a new event currency called Fading Star’s Essence, as well as plenty of new opportunities to acquire Primogems and Adventure Rank experience through quests and co-op play. While these quests are relatively quick to take care of, finding Viktor’s Lost Box in A Mysterious Loss can be a little time consuming if players don’t know where to look.

The world quest can be accessed once players have finished the What the Skies Conceal, the Water Reveals story quest. Players will need to make their way to the Monstadt Cathedral to speak with the Fatui Diplomat, Viktor, who seems to have lost an important box while he was out and about. He tasks players with finding the box for him in exchange for any information he knows about the falling meteorites.

Viktor informs the player that he lost the box when he was beset by a group of Electro Slimes near the Thousand Winds Temple. He believes that since the Electro Slimes came in contact with the box, it should have some Elemental Traces on it and can be found by utilizing Elemental Sight. Viktor will then mark the location on the player’s map, which is conveniently right next to a teleport waypoint.

Players will automatically be inside the search radius for the box’s Elemental Traces. Using Elemental Sight, players will need to slowly move up the hill, finding traces of Electro Energy to find the box. At the last location, players will find a group of Electro Slimes that can be easily disposed of by utilizing Pyro or Cryo abilities. Once defeated, players will acquire Viktor’s lost box.

Once players have returned the box to Viktor at the Cathedral, they will come to find out that he (along with the rest of the Fatui stationed in Monstadt) has no idea why these meteorites are falling or why they have been causing people to fall asleep. While this quest resulted in no ground gained for information, at least players will earn 20 Fading Star’s Essence, 40 Primogems, and 25,000 Mora for their troubles.

While some players’ first instinct may be to spend these 20 Fading Star’s Essence on the Talent Materials located in the event shop, players might want to consider holding on to them for a little bit. Once players have accrued 110 Essence, they can exchange it for a Crown of Sagehood, which is an extremely rare Talent Material. Securing this Crown should probably be players’ first priority when it comes to cashing in on the events’ rewards.
