GameRefinery has released the results of its first-ever Mobile GameDev Awards, and Genshin Impact walked away as the bigger winner of 2021. The annual event celebrates innovation in the world of mobile game design, with six awards up for grabs.
Winners were announced today during a livestream, and Genshin Impact seemed to be mentioned every few minutes. The game took the world by storm in 2020, and it was just as popular at today’s ceremony. Here’s a full breakdown of the Mobile GameDev Awards 2021:

All told, Genshin Impact walked away with three awards – Innovation & Excellence in Core Gameplay, Best Newcomer (US), and Best Event (US). The game’s Lantern Rite event is currently underway, offering several exclusive rewards and marking the arrival of the Lunar New Year.
