Ubisoft is poised to give players a full reveal of Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s AI teammates during its “Ubisoft Forward” Event.
The title launched nearly a year ago, however, the AI teammates feature hasn’t managed to make it in there just yet. It was available in Ghost Recon Wildlands yet was inexplicably left out of the latest installment. Ubisoft, though, is looking to bring it back this year, with the game’s next update due on July 12.

The game admittedly struggled to gain traction after its launch as it was quite problematic from the release date. It garnered overwhelmingly negative reviews, with users lashing out at the lack of creativity and failure to live up to the standards set by Wildlands. Of course, the many bugs were hardly helpful.
The developers have continued to support Breakpoint, with many of the bugs now ironed out, while updates featuring novel aspects have gone live since. The AI teammates aspect has been one of the most sought-after features and it should be a major score once it lands.
It has been teased in a new trailer which can be viewed right below. It’s unclear how exactly it will work in Breakpoint and should likely introduce some new mechanics considering that the gameplay style is a bit different from Wildlands’. The newer title also throws lots of focus on character upgrading and customizations so such options could be available for AI squadmates. The features will be fully explained during the “Ubisoft Forward” Pre-Show on the aforementioned date.
It should be noted that the design of AI opponents isn’t that great in Breakpoint, which makes the upcoming feature all the more interesting.
The Pre-Show airs at 130 pm EST on July 12 and will dish out news on some other popular Ubisoft titles.
