Not too long ago, Ubisoft announced the second free special operation for Year 2 in Ghost Recon: Wildlands which is set to include new features, fixes, as well as a challenging permadeath mode. Now, it looks as if the video game publisher and developer is set to bring even more updates to the title by teasing a forthcoming crossover event featuring another of its Tom Clancy-branded tactical shooter properties, Rainbow Six Siege.

As seen in the trailer below, Ubisoft doesn’t offer much in the way of concrete details, but it does reveal its plans to divulge more information on the matter on Monday, July 23, 2018 with a full trailer reveal of what’s to come in the Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Rainbow Six Siege crossover. Considering the fact that the tagline at the end of the clip is, “What will the next story tell?”, it’s really anyone’s guess as to what kind of content will be included.

For those unaware, this isn’t the first instance of Ghost Recon: Wildlands sharing its space with another Ubisoft property for a crossover event, as players saw the world of Splinter Cell collide with the 2017 release. The publisher and developer brought that particular update to Wildlands earlier this year, and it let fans interact with the likes of the stealth-action franchise’s frequent protagonist Sam Fisher and more.

Although it’s too early to determine how the Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Rainbow Six Siege crossover will shake out, it’s great to see that Ubisoft remains dedicated to supporting both games so long after their respective launches. For not only is Wildlands being updated regularly, but also Rainbow Six Siege, as the latter received two new Italian Operators and a fresh map thanks to the game’s Operation Para Bellum patch.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Rainbow Six Siege are both available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
