The special hardcover edition of The Eye of the World features redesigned jacket art, a new introduction from Brandon Sanderson, four-color world map endpapers, a hardcover stamp of the iconic snake-wheel, and a ribbon bookmark. Basically, it’s beautiful and would be a gorgeous addition to any fantasy book-lovers collection.
The Wheel of Time series was originally planned as a six-book series, but evolved into 14 installments over the course of the writing. Jordan died in 2007 while writing the 12th book in the series, but left extensive notes behind so that another writer could complete the story in his stead. That writer ended up being Sanderson, who completed the series in 2013.
