Things for PS4 exclusive God of War have been good since it’s release. The game garnered such a positive reception that its director released an emotional video in response to all the positive things that were said about it. Now, it seems it has added another accomplishment.
A recent report revealed that God of War was the top selling game in the UK again for its second week in a row. The same report showed that recently released Nintendo Labo on the Switch debuted in third place. Second place was held by Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5. The top 5 was rounded out by FIFA 18 at fourth and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at fifth.
In the week following its release, God of War topped UK sales charts and even ended up setting a sales record over there. As mentioned before, the game is not only seeing commercial success, but critical success as well. Both fans and critics alike have had plenty of good things to say about it.
All the positive reception the game has received has also allowed it to reach another milestone, as well. The glowing reviews God of War has been getting has given it the distinction of currently being the best reviewed PS4 game of all time. This is a huge accomplishment, considering games like Uncharted 4 and Horizon: Zero Dawn have been released for the console over the past few years.
The title has also been getting a steady stream of updates since its release. These updates have mainly addressed some minor issues players found within God of War, with the most notable being an issue with the size of the text in some of the game’s menus.
