Slappy the Dummy is back and ready to take players through the twisted, whimsical world of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps in an all-new tale for consoles and PC entitled Goosebumps: Dead of Night.

Scholastic, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and indie game studio, Cosmic Forces, will once again be bringing the world of Goosebumps to life, having previously released the mobile VR game, Goosebumps: Night of Scares.

The news came with an announcement trailer featuring gameplay and showcasing some of the franchise-favorite characters that players will be encountering, such as Graveyard Ghoul, Lawn Gnomes, Annihilator 3000, Murder the Clown, the Werewolf of Fever Swamp, and the man of the hour himself, Slappy the Dummy.

Players will take on killer bees, solve puzzles, utilize stealth while hiding from monsters, and recover the missing pages that Slappy has stolen from classic Goosebumps books.

Goosebumps: Dead of Night is rated E for Everyone, but parents of younger gamers may want to be a bit wary. Although the horror element of Goosebumps stories is overall very tame, it may still be a bit too scary for younger kids.

A release date has yet to be revealed, but players can expect Goosebumps: Dead of Night to launch sometime this summer for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
