Google Play may not have Epic Games’ Fortnite, but the Android mobile game storefront is still a big deal in the mobile games industry. It’s home to thousands of games, many of which are family-friendly titles designed to educate or entertain younger audiences. However, an investigation by Wired has found that Google Play may be promoting many violent mobile games to children. The report reveals that games like Mad Max Zombies - a shooter which features gruesome gameplay and zombies spurting blood - has been rated as Pegi 3....

Although the streaming-focused console hasn’t had the smoothest of launches, Google Stadia continues to expand into the gaming sphere as time wears on, adding huge games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in recent weeks. It seems Google is looking to push its new platform even further through the announcement that iOS devices can now run the streaming service, adding Apple platforms to the range of outlets able to run Google Stadia releases....

Tech has come to tabletop gaming whether you like it or not. Services like D&D Beyond crunch all the numbers and tell players exactly what powers their next level grants. This is great for new players, who might be intimidated by a 250-page rulebook. Others, however, don’t get the same feel from touchscreen-friendly character sheets. Square Enix has canceled Final Fantasy 14’s seventh 14-hour broadcast in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The separate new information presentation will continue live as planned on February 5 but without an audience. Square Enix launches an enhanced version of the JRPG classic Final Fantasy 9 for both Android and iOS devices without making an official announcement. Last month, Square Enix confirmed that the classic PlayStation game Final Fantasy 9 would be making its way to smartphones and PC. June and July have been a pretty busy time for Fortnite players. Whether it’s the new Disco Domination LTM or the fresh addition of the quad launcher weapon, Fortnite fans continue to receive droves of new content during the wildly successful multiplayer sandbox survival shooter’s sixth season. Now, it looks as if Epic Games is going to give players yet another vehicle to tool around in on the title’s map, by having Season 6 introduce the game’s third mode of transportation. Fortnite Season 10, also referred to as Season X, launches today and has introduced the unexpected but predicted Titan-esque mechs. These awesome looking robots are called Brutes and they pack a serious punch; just like the Titans in Titanfall, which are noticeably absent from Apex Legends.
