Lingard is a fascinating, fantastic, and ultimately frustrating player, and he’s one of the best examples of how a mathematical game like FIFA can never really capture the true heart of football....

Fight Crab will get a Steam release this summer on PC, following a new Summer of Gaming trailer uploaded last week. Fight Crab is a game in which players take the reins of a giant crab whose goal is to fight enemy giant crabs and other crustaceans. Fight Crab doesn’t take itself too seriously, according to trailers released thus far. Furthermore, the game will be releasing on July 30 this year on Steam and is coming to other platforms like the PS4 and Switch later this year....

Today, during the Final Fantasy 14 Announcement Showcase, Square Enix revealed that the next expansion for its hit MMO will be called Endwalker. The showcase brought Eorzeans a brand new trailer, showing the Warrior of Light take up the role of Paladin to once again defend the realm from forces threatening to destroy it. The Warrior of Light will challenge villains like 5.4’s Fandaniel. The trailer reveals that Alphinaud has changed jobs in this expansion and will now represent the new job class, Sage....

There’s still mass debate over what’s the best Final Fantasy title from the series, but there’s such love for Final Fantasy 7 that it’s not just looked at as the crowning achievement from the RPG franchise, but one of the best PlayStation titles of all time....

We are four months away from the release of Mortal Kombat, the new movie that reboots the film franchise for the first time. A trailer still seems to be some weeks away, but thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we now have a series of still images to give us an idea of what to expect in the movie. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has led to huge numbers of delays for video games. Developer Sports Interactive announced that Football Manager 2021 would be delayed due to COVID-19 in July, and there are currently no updates as to when exactly the game will be released. However, the series’ previous entry Football Manager 2020 has apparently seen a huge amount of success after being offered as a free title on the Epic Games Store....

Since Battle Royale launched for free last year, Fortnite continues to be a cultural and gaming juggernaut for PC and console players. Fortnite Battle Royale’s Season 8 Week 3 is in full swing, and there’s no doubt that myriad players are taking on this week’s Battle Pass challenges and still discovering a bunch of different aspects about the free-to-play multiplayer shooter’s refreshed map. With the introduction of Season 5, Fortnite has made a number of changes to its popular battle royale formula. These changes include adding areas known as Paradise Palms and Lazy Links, as well as changing up the way weekly challenges work. Prior to Season 5, these weekly challenges were locked to Battle Pass owners, but now it appears that three challenges every week are considered “free challenges.” At the very least, three weekly Fortnite challenges for week 1 and week 2 are free and are likely to be so as Season 5 marches on....

Rockstar has mainly focused its attention on two franchises for the majority of the last decade: Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. GTA Online still brings in an absurd amount of revenue each year while each of their cowboy games has earned them accolades from both critics and fans alike. Unfortunately, because GTA tends to take place in modern times - even though GTA V came out in 2013 - and Red Dead is set during the dying days of the west, there’s very little opportunity for both series to cross over....

Borderlands 3 has proven to be quite the success for Gearbox Software since its release in 2019. As for Gearbox’s publishing efforts, that’s less clear. Regardless, few would have predicted that Gearbox would end up joining another company, yet that’s exactly what’s been announced. Officially confirmed on Tuesday evening, the Gearbox Entertainment Company is joining Embracer Group, with the acquisition valued at $1.3 billion. In a prepared statement, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford describes the acquisition as a “propellant for the exciting future we have planned....
