It’s been almost a year since Final Fantasy XIV released its last expansion, Shadowbringers, and while Square Enix does a great job of continually adding new and refreshing content to the game, players are already looking forward to the next thing they want: new classes. Though the majority of new job classes are added because of a new expansion, there have been past classes added as part of patches, such as Rogue/Ninja and the limited job role Blue Mage....

Summoning has been a large part of the Final Fantasy franchise for many years, so much so that the ability to collect and unleash these powerful magic creatures has become one of the most iconic aspects of the series at large. Games in the series treat summons differently, as sometimes the powerful creatures exist largely outside of the story as just an expression of the characters’ magical prowess, and sometimes they are active deities that affect the course of mortal events....

The plot of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance has lead to interesting discussions among fans. While most Final Fantasy games are relatively straight forward with the player being the hero and the villains being the ones they fight, Tactics Advance doesn’t follow suit. For some, Mewt is the clear villain. One of the most controversial characters in Fire Emblem: Three Houses was the Black Eagle’s house leader, Edelgard von Hresvelg. First 4 Figures has posted a first look at its Pac-Man 7” PVC painted statue that’s been marked as coming soon. The statue was created to celebrate Pac-Man’s 40th anniversary. The statue is currently in production however the company wanted to announce it within the classic arcade game’s 40th year. The statue is based on the official 3D render image of the eponymous character that still retains the classic 2D art style....

For Honor has always been known for its deep learning curve, especially on the more difficult heroes. As a new player, it can be frustrating at times being unsure of which combos flow best and whether this moment is ideal for a counterattack. PlayStation is reportedly working on a response to Xbox Game Pass. The news comes from former God of War director, David Jaffe, who cites anonymous sources at Sony. Xbox Game Pass is arguably the most popular subscription service in gaming. Offering hundreds of titles at one low monthly cost, millions of players have signed up for Game Pass – which continues to add more value every month. Previous statements from Sony led fans to believe that a similar service would never make an appearance on PlayStation consoles, but it seems that might be changing in the future....

Fortnite players are more than accustomed to crossovers by now. Following Gun Media and IllFonic’s recent confirmation of there being a physical edition of Friday the 13th: The Game for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms coming out later this year, the publisher and developer decided to share a sales milestone for the title’s digital iteration. According to an announcement from the companies, the multiplayer survival-horror release has managed to sell over 1.8 million copies since its launch back in May....

GameStop had a pretty terrible 2020. To be fair, we all had a terrible 2020, but COVID-19 only accelerated issues that GameStop had moving products out its doors.
