The Cataclysm decimated the world of For Honor, causing massive environmental and social catastrophes, and bringing many warring factions and their greatest fighters, suddenly face to face. This week, the gaming world lost a prominent personality too soon when it was announced that John “Total Biscuit” Bain had lost his multi-year battle with cancer. Just a few days ago, Bain shared a message of hope that, despite his declining health, he would continue to deliver quality content to fans. Given that, it came as a shock when Bain’s wife Genna announced that Total Biscuit had passed away....
Now that Midas’ doomsday device has changed the battle royale map forever, Fortnite is offering new challenges each week for players to aspire towards. This week, players are tasked with using the whirlpool near The Fortilla, but as usual, the challenge doesn’t fully explain how to use it. Fortnite Season 3 sees much of the map submerged, and with that change comes a whole host of water like features. The whirlpool at the Fortilla is one such feature, but using it requires players to do something which most would find counter-intuitive to survival....

The Fortnite Android beta is now available to a wider range of Android users. Developer Epic Games has opened up the beta tests from beyond Samsung Galaxy devices, giving more people on the mobile platform a chance to get their hands on the game. Unfortunately, the beta tests are running less than smoothly. Some Fortnite Android players have reported significant performance problems with the game. In a post on Twitter, Epic Games said that the issues are unique to Android users with mobile devices that have 4GB of RAM....

While Fortnite has been a proven commodity for a few years due to its moment to moment gameplay as well as constant in-game store offerings, Epic Games has started evolving the game in an attempt to appeal to even more players. This shift has included a new mode called Party Royale, a less stressful experience that includes in-game movies and concerts, boat racing, and other attractions. Since Fortnite’s increasingly popular battle royale mode launched last year, players have been able to pull off some incredible feats. Recently, Fortnite player SaproFX was able to add some of his gameplay to the game’s growing list of memorable moments, as he was able to pick off an enemy in midair with an incredibly unlikely sniper shot. Fortnite’s v3.5 patch notes dropped today promising a variety of new features and game modes. A host of new weapons, four new cyberpunk-themed heroes and new special item ‘port-a-fort’, which allows players to fortify themselves instantaneously, all make their collective in-game debuts. Port-a-fort will be an epic level item drop and actually comes with quite a specific set of features. It will drop in stacks of one, although it will be possible to stack five in your inventory, and when thrown will instantly construct a three-storey metal fort for the player to cower behind....

Fortnite’s Recycler is different from any other weapon on the island and appears to have been inspired by a very popular series of Nintendo games. Microsoft’s FPS Boost technology allows the Xbox Series X|S to double the frame rates of last-gen games. The feature can be seamlessly integrated with games without needing to make changes to the original game code. Far Cry 4, New Super Lucky’s Tale, Sniper Elite 4, UFC 4, and Watch Dogs 2 are the only games currently compatible with FPS Boost, but Microsoft hopes to roll it out for more games....
Developers Harmonix Music Systems and NCSOFT have laid out a plan for the music and rhythm game Fuser moving forward. The game is set to have some big changes now and in the future, starting with a free Fuser demo. Fuser launched to generally favorable reviews in November. The impressive soundtrack, solid concept, and deep creation system all add up to a DJ game that allows players to live up to their music mixing dreams....
