Reuters is reporting that GameStop is pushing hard to enter the downloadable content world by offering DLC through their store locations worldwide. By 2010, GameStop shoppers will be able to enter the store and purchase downloadable content that will be available for transfer to their hard drives when they arrive at home. This would seem like a great idea considering that brick and mortar retailers need to continuously find ways to remain relevant in today’s digital economy....
2019’s Gears 5 stands among the Xbox One’s most visually impressive and well-performing games, and it appears that its performance is enhanced even further by the Xbox Series X. According to reports, the load times prove this in and of themselves. In an interview, technical director of The Coalition Mike Rayner discussed Gears 5’s performance on the Xbox Series X and the console’s handling of the game. Rayner indicated that the console inherently enables developers to do more with the Xbox Series X console, as Gears 5 can evidently load more than four times faster on Xbox Series X than the Xbox One....
This year, Microsoft is promising the strongest lineup of exclusive games in the history of Xbox, and a huge part of that equation is Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. This remastered version of the Xbox 360 classic boasts five campaign levels never before seen on consoles, improved graphics, and more multiplayer maps and modes than ever before. While many Gears of War fanatics have likely already laid down the cash to pre-order Ultimate Edition, those that have been waiting to see if the game holds up first can now rest assured that the Ultimate Edition will be worth the price of admission when it releases tomorrow, if the reviews for the game are any indication....
The Coalition and Splash Damage released an official launch trailer for the Gears of War spin-off Gears Tactics Monday, showcasing the story players can expect and unique gameplay mechanics inherent to the X-Com-styled turn-based strategy game. At the end of that trailer it was revealed that pre-installation is available for the PC version of the game. Gears Tactics will launch on April 28, 2020 for Windows 10, the Xbox Game Pass, and Steam, and is currently listed online to be pre-purchased via Microsoft and Valve’s respective platforms....

However, this may have something to do with miHoYo cracking down on leakers and dataminers. Back before Zhongli’s banner announcement, it was thought that Xiao would release for Genshin Impact in the fall. In what could easily be called a match made in Arkham, tabletop roleplaying game creators Chaosium and the Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program have teamed up to host two nights of improvised cinematic storytelling. The Crack’d and Crook’d Manse roleplaying event is set for this November (Friday) 13 and (Saturday) 14, at 7 p.m. Eastern, and will be streamed live at CthulhuMystery.com/LIVE. The Crack’d and Crook’d Manse live roleplay event will be done in true Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program fashion, “with cinematic music and sound effects, surreal old-timey radio adverts, and laugh out loud mayhem,” according to the announcement....
Call of Duty hit the jackpot when they started the Modern Warfare series. A game that had always been attached to wars of the past finally got a chance to spread into another territory. There are many that regard Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as one of the best, if not the best game in the whole series. An engaging story and an excellent multiplayer mode made the game a classic....

In Ghost of Tsushima’s latest 1.1 update, developer Sucker Punch Productions added a new cooperative player mode called Legends. In this new mode, players are given a choice to select one of four warrior classes that they can play as in this online-only game mode that offers new missions based on Japanese mythology. Overall, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends offers two-player missions and four-player survival missions in this new game mode....
After a tepid launch, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint has made massive strides to improve. While the game has done its best to perfect its PVP combat and grow its player base with a new Friends Pass, Ubisoft has not forgotten about its solo players. Recently, the developer announced that it would be adding AI teammates to the game soon. Players have been requesting this feature since 2019. After the massive Ghost Experience update released, Ubisoft promised that it would continue to improve the game through player feedback....

Earlier today, it was announced that horror title Devotion would be seeing a re-release via GOG on December 18. The news was met with a lot of positive reception, as Devotion was infamously delisted from Steam in February 2019 and has otherwise been nearly impossible to get hold of since, with its physical release only being available in Taiwan. However, in a rather shocking move, GOG has now stated via its official Twitter that it will no longer be listing Devotion on its store....
