It’s happening! Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be getting a free upgrade on PS5 with multiple new features, including better lighting and a photo mode. Cloud’s adventures in Midgar will look even better with improved textures, lighting, atmospheric fog, and multiple graphics options. Graphics mode will scale the action all the way up to 4K resolution and performance mode gives you a clean 60 FPS. There is also a specific PS5 feature with some haptic feedback integration on the DualSense controller....

Though the game is over a year old now, Three Houses contains so much content that it’s near impossible to go through the game and not miss a little. For Honor character Peacekeeper has been banned from several professional tournaments for being too “OP.” Players at several tournaments organized by MLG will be unable to pick the character and will have to think of another way to best others players of the Ubisoft fighting game. Peacekeeper was banned after one player took to the MLG forums to complain about how overpowered she is. The player explained that “spamming” Peacekeeper’s light attacks is more than enough for players to get hits and win “even against experienced players....

Eric Saward, former screenwriter and script editor for Doctor Who, has launched a Kickstarter to fund his idea for a spinoff comic series. The spinoff is set to focus on Gustave Lytton, a recurring character and former agent of the Daleks, appearing during Saward’s tenure in the 80s. Known only as “Lytton” during his time on the show, the character first appeared in the season 21 story arc “Resurrection of the Daleks” as a mercenary in the employ of the titular villains....

When Fortnite developer Epic Games first revealed the new Guided Missile weapon, players had many questions. While many video games have been hosting spooky Halloween-themed events throughout the month of October, Epic Games decided to take things a step further by bringing Fortnite’s Fortnitemares 2020 Halloween celebration into real life. The developer released a series of papercraft masks that let fans create their own costumes from home with next-to-no material investment necessary. Three mask patterns are currently available to download as PDFs on Fortnite’s website: An Arachne mask that only covers the top half of one’s face; a Ghoul Trooper mask that turns its wearer into a Two-Face-styled colorful zombie; and a Skull Trooper mask that offers a more simple, customizable skull design....

At long last, Fortnite: Save the World, is finally leaving early access nearly three years after launch. When the game first launched, it was as a 1-4 player PvE third-person shooter, but soon the Fortnite battle royale mode conquered the genre completely, shifting the developer’s priority and throwing the future of Save the World way off its initial course. In a developer blog post, the team spoke about the long, strange journey it has been in adding a vast collection of unique Heroes and Schematics, as well as the overhaul we have seen to the Front End UI and Hero Loadout screens....

After much speculation about a forthcoming announcement for an Alien: Isolation sequel, Alien: Blackout was revealed for mobile devices.
