Ever since it was confirmed that David Eddings would not be back to voice Claptrap in Borderlands 3, there’s been a whole lot of heat between him and Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford. Initially, Eddings said that Gearbox was unwilling to pay him for his voice work in Borderlands 3. Pitchford denied this while also calling Eddings “bitter and disgruntled.” Eddings then responded by accusing Pitchford of physically assaulting him in the lobby of the Marriott Marquis at GDC 2017....

Google has been relatively silent in 2020 with regards to Google Stadia. In February, Google announced five upcoming games for the Stadia platform, but since then fans have been anxiously awaiting an update. With a series as popular as EA’s FIFA franchise, it can be easy to forget that each iteration is still a game, capable of providing dizzying adrenaline highs in online play while also possessing all the flaws we typically associate with the digital form - bugs, glitches, or the occasional server issue. Due to the sheer popularity of FIFA, however, these issues often get magnified, and the fact that the series recently blurred boundaries between the real and digital worlds with a FIFA 17 gambling scandal makes these problems even more significant....

It came to light yesterday that some retailers possessing Final Fantasy 7 Remake broke its street date. Fans that were lucky enough to receive their copies early took to social media to reveal the news with pictures of the game’s real-life container box. These reveals came right on the heels of Square Enix explaining that the release of the game would be erratic due to the COVID-19 situation: It predicted that not everyone would receive a copy of the game at launch as scheduled....

A listing on Japan’s PSN Store has confirmed Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be free via PS Plus, but you won’t be getting a free upgrade unless you buy it. It was rumored earlier this week that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be one of the games PS Plus subscribers will be able to download for free. That appears to have been confirmed via a description discovered on Japan’s PSN Store....

The big twist in Final Fantasy VII Remake is that the characters are able to defy their fate and deviate from the story of Final Fantasy VII. The characters are no longer bound to the events of anything that happened after the Midgar section of Final Fantasy VII, which includes Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus. The question that fans have been asking themselves is what caused the deviation of the timeline in the first place, other than the developers needing an excuse to let fans know that the story will be different going forward?...

It could be argued that Blitzball goes far beyond the scope of a normal mini-game. In many ways, it’s like an entire game crammed deeply within another. Given the vast amount of content on offer in Final Fantasy X’s main story alone, this really is quite the achievement. Blitzball offers players a welcome distraction from the main story and can provide hours upon hours of entertainment for those willing to let themselves get lost in it....
