Fortnite Season 4 Week 9 has kicked off the game’s Halloween festivities. Fortnitemares 2020 is the name, and the reintroduction of Shadow Midas, Shadow forms, and delicious Halloween candy, are this year’s games. Candy can be found scattered throughout Fortnite as of this week’s patch, and even players who don’t care for Challenges will want to keep their eyes out for these sweets. Not only do they restore health and shields, they also bestow special abilities upon their consumers....

Fortnite has finally released its floor is lava mode with the 8.20 patch, and with it come a new slew of challenges for players to survive. Epic Games’ battle royale Fortnite planned on removing its “Legacy Look Controls,” an aim-assist system meant to help players using controllers for the cross-platform title versus a more precise mouse and keyboard, on March 13. However after a 7-day countdown to the change in-game, the developers decided not to move forward with the removal just yet. The recent inclusion of The Mandalorian as a crossover character in Fortnite is incredibly exciting, as it shows just how perfect the character is for a video game. Not only does the character’s Beskar armor look amazing in-game, but the inclusion of the Razor Crest ship and Grogu (or Baby Yoda, as some still prefer) makes the crossover standout amongst the rest. Final Fantasy VII’s Barret Wallace is one of those characters you either get a kick out of or cringe at. In the original game, he was pretty much a joke thanks to his “Mr. T” attitude despite having some actual depth to his character. It will be interesting to see what changes Square Enix decided to make to Barret. Hopefully, some good ones. Barret may not be a fan favorite when compared to Cloud or Sephiroth, but he’s lovable in his own way—at least, enough to have his very own memes....

While hard mode does provide an extra layer of difficulty to the game, Final Fantasy VII Remake comes up a little short in terms of truly challenging content. Well, at least when compared to some of the other entries in the series, that is. The best that it has to offer are the Shinra Combat Simulator challenges, the hardest of which is the vs. Top Secret challenge which is unlocked after completing all of the other Simulator challenges as well as those found at the Corneo Colosseum....
