Taking this into consideration, the studio recently teased that it is presently deciding whether or not to permanently incorporate a mode like it into the game....

Pro gamer Ali-A has an interesting Fortnite theory that may reveal what the upcoming Season 6 has in store. Ali-A revealed his theory in a recent YouTube video, and if it’s correct, it seems quite likely that a major Fortnite event from the game’s first season could be making a comeback of some kind. Epic’s Fortnite now requires less than 30GB to install on PC following the battle royale’s 14.40 update. This is quite significant, given gamers needed to have 90GB in free space to install the game. This reduction marks a cut of over two-thirds of a game that had bloated into a selfish hard drive space possessor. The update, which dropped on Wednesday morning, was a pretty big one. But at approximately 27GB, it must have come as a relief to players as the patch appears to be poised to do a bit of cleaning up, thereby reducing Fortnite’s file size....

Players are reporting that Genshin Impact (one of 2020’s biggest surprise hits and a runaway financial success) censors any attempt to use the words “Taiwan” and “Hong Kong” in the game’s chat text system. The full list of words and phrases that are censored in the game hasn’t been revealed/discovered quite yet, but “Taiwan,” “Hong Kong,” and “Tibet” are among the most notable early examples. Interestingly, other users are reporting that seemingly simple words such as “enemies” are turned into asterisks whenever you try to type them in chat....

The long-rumored Batman game from WB Games Montreal has finally been revealed today during the DC FanDome online event, and it is called Gotham Knights. It is not immediately clear if Gotham Knights is set in the Arkham universe, but it does bear a similar gritty aesthetic. It is hard to tell if the legendary Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy has reprised his role from the Arkham games, though the actor is still very much involved in the general world of Batman....

Campo Santo, the indie development team behind Firewatch announced last month that they would be merging with Valve, and working with them in their Seattle offices. In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, Campo Santo discussed their upcoming game In The Valley of Gods, and what the transition from working as a small group of twelve developers, to becoming a part of a huge gaming company like Valve. PlayStation usually reserves the last Wednesday of every month to announce the new batch of free PlayStation Plus games, and this month is no different. As expected, PlayStation has announced the next pair of free games that PS Plus subscribers will be able to download with the next PlayStation Store update on Tuesday, October 6. The free PS Plus games for October 2020 include Need for Speed: Payback and Vampyr. Need for Speed: Payback is an open world racing game that originally launched in 2017, and included some improvements over its predecessor, like the inclusion of an offline mode and a day/night cycle....
