It recently received a little extra bit of love from Square Enix with the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, leaving fans hotly anticipating the forthcoming release of the second half of the Remake story. The game resonates with fans for many reasons, the story, the gameplay, and the world-building, to name just a few....

Prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX shows off the locations where the highly desired Supply Llamas are most likely to appear. In a Twitter post, HYPEX put forth a comprehensive look at the entire map in Fortnite, marking all the most common spots. Season 6 of Fortnite is just hours away, as the Battle Royale servers have gone down for maintenance and to implement all the changes. Fortnite leakers have shown off the first look at Loki’s upcoming skin as well as the Scepter he will use as his pickaxe. One month on from Fortnite’s first tease that Loki would be arriving on the island, leakers have revealed what exactly the game’s take on the God of Mischief will look like. The skin is very close to the MCU version of Loki which makes a lot of sense since his arrival is in conjunction with the Loki TV show airing on Disney Plus....

While players are just now starting to dig into Fortnite’s Season 3 Week 6 challenges, which went live yesterday, they can already start planning for what the next week will bring. Indeed, details on the Week 7 challenges have surfaced, and these tasks will instruct fans to search chests, eliminate opponents, and much more. To note, Fortnite’s Season 3 Week 7 challenges will not be available until Thursday, July 30, and what goes live on that date may deviate slightly from what has been leaked....

It’s Tuesday, which means a new PlayStation Store update. And it’s the first Tuesday of the month, which means a new batch of free PlayStation Plus games are now available for subscribers to claim. This month, PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim four free games, plus all PlayStation gamers, regardless of whether or not they have PS Plus, can claim another game, completely free of charge. Sony has brought back the PlayStation Play at Home Initiative, which gives those PS4 and PS5 free games with no strings attached....

It is officially the resurgence of the MechWarrior franchise and the mech genre as a whole. In October of 2011, Piranha Games finally unveiled their long-in-development MechWarrior Online, a free-to-play MMO slated to release this summer, and just a few days ago we found out that MechAssault developer Day 1 Studios is also returning to the genre with the free-to-play Reign of Thunder, another arcade-style mech game. Now we can add MechWarrior Tactics to the mix....

Recently, Gears Tactics was rated by the ESRB for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, which could indicate that the game will release on the consoles soon. Gears Tactics, which is available on PC, has been rated M for mature. The rating makes sense, as other Geras of War games have also received the same rating. The reason for its M rating is based on the game’s realistic gunfire noises, decapitations, and blood splatters....

Other than Genshin Impact’s gacha system, there is a way to acquire the four-star character Xiangling in-game without spending any money, but players will need to ensure they are at a high enough level to get to this area. Genshin Impact is a free-to-play action-adventure RPG, meaning that it relies on the gacha system known as “Wishing” to make its money back to the Shanghai-based developer MiHoYo. Via Wishes, players have an extremely low chance of winning four and five-star characters, and doing so will often cost a pretty penny....

A Song of Ice and Fire author, George R. R. Martin, has reportedly inked a new deal with HBO for an eight-figure deal. Game of Thrones fans has long awaited the continuation of the books, but with the news of the HBO deal, fans may have to be even more patient. It has been reported by The Hollywood Reporter that Martin signed a new five-year contract with the HBO network which will see all of his television projects air there, as well as on the HBO Max online movie theatre....

Fans of Ridley Scott’s Alien franchise have been looking forward to Aliens: Colonial Marines for quite some time - especially after the title’s lengthy development. In a newly released dev diary, dubbed “Authentic Aliens,” key Gearbox Software personnel speak of how they plan to keep the game true to the franchise’s roots. Gearbox is quick to remind gamers that Aliens: Colonial Marines will be an authentic Aliens experience. Using words like “frightening,” “scary” and “badass,” members of Gearbox reiterate that, rather than a recreation of James Cameron’s iconic film, Colonial Marines is a sequel in video game form....

Despite Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex – First Assault Online’s mouthful of a name, the FPS has style to spare....

Mods are really something, aren’t they? They sometimes visually enhance older games to look better, they sometimes change perspectives to give players a more ‘immersive’ experience, they also enable you to customize features that the original game wouldn’t allow you to. But most importantly, they allow Macho Man Randy Savage to replace the dragons in Skyrim. Of course, like the third one suggests, most modders do their thing purely for the fun of it....

The optional realm of Niflheim shouldn’t be trifled with in God of War, containing many great rewards at the cost of hours upon hours of battle. Having to collect four language ciphers before the realm is even available, only the most relentless will make it all the way through the maze. The challenge is hard enough without the realm tears that taunt the brave players along the way; if they’re opened, some very high-level enemies will have to be dealt with....

While FIFA 12’s impact engine will be, for some, talked about for its contribution to both EA Sports titles and Battlefield 3, that doesn’t mean the engine is perfect. In fact, one gamer took the FIFA 12 demo (which is available now) for a spin and found some interesting situations that resulted from “accurate” collisions using the engine. Now this is video is in no way meant to imply that the impact engine is anything short of impressive — our hands-on time with FIFA 12 showed one of the best sports experiences to date — it’s just sometimes entertaining to look at a strict and structured physics engine gone awry....

The first thing I’m going to do in FIFA 22 is sign Jadon Sancho for Newcastle United. The English winger is a joy to watch, as many fans will discover firsthand with his arrival in the Premier League from Borussia Dortmund this summer. Sadly, in real life, he’ll be wearing the red of Man United rather than the fetching black and white of Newcastle, but in FIFA, that doesn’t matter. I can sign whoever I want, and I can lead my wing combo of Sancho and Allan Saint-Maximin to Premier League and European glory....
