The war amongst the dancing games heats up later this fall as Harmonix announced at Gamescom that Dance Central 2 will release on October 25, 2011. With no Rock Band 4 planned for 2011, Harmonix is showing a lot of faith that the sequel will be as at least as successful as the original title. However, it will be competing head-to-head on the Kinect for the first time with Ubisoft’s Just Dance juggernaut, which arrives on store shelves on October 11, 2011....

Genshin Impact has done well for itself over the last five months, considering it is a mobile gacha game expanded to work on home consoles. The mobile version of Genshin Impact made over 400 million dollars in just two months, and millions of players have downloaded the game across its various platforms since it released in September 2020. However, Genshin Impact has yet to have a substantial collaboration with another IP, as is common for many popular gacha games based out of Asia....

Announced at last night’s The Game Awards, Endless Dungeon is an upcoming rogue-lite tactical action game set within the same Endless Universe as Dungeon of the Endless. So, that makes it a sequel, right? Not so fast. Despite the game taking place within the same universe as Dungeon of the Endless, in a press release from the game’s developer, Amplitude Studios, it wasn’t quite confirmed whether or not Endless Dungeon is a sequel - at least in the traditional sense....

“If I get to play Jin in the live-action Ghost of Tsushima, let it be known that I fully agree to doing butt nudity,” voice actor Daisuke Tsuji stated on Twitter. Ghost of Tsushima is getting its very own film adaptation with John Wick director Chad Stahelski at the helm, and with it being in such early stages of production, filming hasn’t started, and casting is underway, but who better to play the lead, Jin, than Jin himself?...

God of War game director Cory Barlog answers fan questions on Twitter, revealing that the entire game is playable from start to finish at Sony Santa Monica. Ever since the game was revealed in a stunning gameplay presentation at E3 2016, updates on the new God of War have been few and far between. Some may take this as a sign that the game is still very early in development, but recent comments by game director Cory Barlog suggest that it may actually be nearing the end of the cycle....

Although it was released a few years into the PS4’s lifetime, God of War has become one of the console’s iconic exclusives. Even two or three years after it came out, the epic action-adventure game is sure to have lots players interested in another playthrough on the PS5. However, replaying the game isn’t necessarily enough to satisfy God of War fans, and ideally, the next title in the franchise will show up on the PS5 in the near future....

A new CG trailer for God of War has been released, offering a dramatic look at the world and action of the upcoming PS4-exclusive game. The trailer features the two protagonists of God of War: series staple Kratos and his son Atreus, a new character to the franchise. To be clear, the trailer is fully CG and is not comprised of actual game footage, but it should give fans a feel for the tone, world, and experience developer Sony Santa Monica hopes players will get from this newest game in the God of War franchise....

Citizens arrive at your new village in all sorts of ways in Going Medieval. On occasion, someone will arrive in the area looking for refuge as they are chased across the countryside after escaping their captors. These people will be locked up in chains. Being in chains means they’ll have a constant -15 mood penalty. It’s not clear how to remove these chains, and the game doesn’t inform you on how to do it....

The Final Fantasy franchise has an interesting legacy of ambitious games. In light of the success of the most recent addition to the main series Final Fantasy 15, many have wondered when another title would be released. There now seems to be some information about the release plans of Final Fantasy 16, although players may want to wait for official word from the developer (Square Enix) before they get too excited....

Final Fantasy 16 is likely skipping TGS 2021, although development is progressing smoothly and the game’s English voice recording is almost complete. The news comes courtesy of the most recent “Letter from the Producer Live” for Final Fantasy 14, which was translated by aitaikimochi on Twitter. Producer Naoki Yoshida surprised fans by giving a development update on Final Fantasy 16, possibly in reaction to those who were expecting to see it at the most recent State of Play....

In yet another example of why it’s not the best idea to mess around with Nintendo and the intellectual property that pertains to it, a video game entitled Final Sword has been removed from Japan’s Nintendo Switch eShop after the discovery that it used a soundtrack from The Legend of Zelda. Final Sword is a game that is described as “the original RPG” by its publisher while allowing potential players to take advantage of “breathtaking battles” in an open-world setting....

In Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the Golden Deer’s witty and carefree leader is Claude von Riegan. He’s loved amongst both classmates and fans for his friendly demeanor, though there are also times when they can’t stand his antics. Regardless, both his likable and less desirable qualities are what makes Claude one of the most well-balanced characters overall, and he’s sure to win everyone’s heart over in the end. 10 Loves: His Chill Vibe As a game of war and severed bonds, Three Houses is full of serious and heartbreaking moments....

Rumors have been circulating for some time now that 2019’s Call of Duty game will be none other than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward. That has yet to be confirmed by anyone at Infinity Ward or series publisher Activision, but more rumors about the apparently-in-development game have appeared online, including what may potentially be the first details on its multiplayer mode. According to the leaked information, posted on Twitter by YouTuber Chaos, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s multiplayer component will be a major focus for the developers....

It’s been several years since developer Bungie revealed they would be leaving their beloved Halo franchise behind and beginning a partnership with Activision, one that would supposedly deliver a new shooter series dubbed Destiny. After that initial announcement, though, Bungie went almost completely dark, and haven’t revealed much about the game since. However, a recent visit to Bungie by several employees for the company Demonware has revealed a few additional details about Destiny, namely a confirmation of its sandbox elements and a confirmation it shares a lot in common with the Halo franchise....

Resident Evil: Village is easily one of the best first-person horror experiences in recent memory. This iteration of the series ups the ante in terms of psychological horror and moments of outright terror and dread. It’s a masterclass in highs and lows, coming off as a rollercoaster of emotions in the horror genre. Despite the wonderful horror aesthetic in Resident Evil: Village, there are still all-out moments of intense and often silly FPS action, especially towards the latter half of the game....

The first of many, many next-gen remasters is already on the way, and luckily, it’s the exceptional hidden gem Observer. 2017’s Observer is a first-person psychological horror game set in a cyberpunk world starring Blade Runner’s Rutger Hauer. That’s possibly the greatest pitch any video game has ever had, but for many, Observer went under the radar. The studio behind Observer, Bloober Team, followed up with 2 more modern horror classics: Layers of Fear 2 and Blair Witch last year, but now the team is ready to back to the future with Observer System Redux later this year....

As with most open-world games, Biomutant will focus on exploration as much as it does story and combat. But unlike many open-world games, you’ll hardly be starved for choice in terms of how you explore. Biomutant’s “World” trailer just dropped and not only shows off the beautiful scenery of a post-apocalyptic world but also just how many options you’ll have to travel it. There are giant mecha suits, gliders, weird robotic horses, actual living horses, giant wind-up hands that scuttle around like Thing from the Addams Family, airships, regular ships, jet packs, chopper packs, and some sort of magic levitating suitcase....

The Ford P1 is here as the company’s first virtual car designed by gamers. Sort of. For the past few months, Ford has been partnering with gamers to help design their first virtual car. “Virtual” in the sense that it will never exist except as a cool concept car in video games, which is quite the departure for the car manufacturer. Usually, they make the crazy concept car in real life before turning it into an unlockable in-game vehicle....

Fortnite’s ice storm event is now live in the battle royale game, covering the map in ice and snow, dense fogs, and zombie-like enemies called ice fiends. Modeled after the cube monsters that players fought during the cube event last season, these ice fiends can spawn in various places around the map, and players have to kill them to complete special challenges and earn exclusive rewards. The ice fiends can spawn pretty much anywhere on the Fortnite battle royale map, emerging from large chunks of ice....
