It seems Fortnite is finally ready to add its long-promised jetpacks to the Battle Royale mode. A quick perusal of the game files has revealed a week 5 challenge that requires players to use the jetpack, which suggests the item could be added to the game as soon as next week. One thing that players have come to expect these past couple of years in Fortnite Battle Royale, is that the world is always evolving. What’s more impressive is that the core map, the only one available in this mode, has remained largely the same in terms of size. Still, thanks to comets, ice magic, rifts, and even a weird purple cube, the Battle Royale map has continued to change in some way each season....

GameStop financial reports suggest that the company’s stock has dropped a stunning 26 percent due in part to slumping console sales. Like many online RPGs, players start Genshin Impact with the impression that it’s an easy game. How could it be that hard? Most enemies seem like goblin knock-offs from Breath of the Wild that shouldn’t require more than one element. Then they suddenly reach Adventure Rank 30 and realize that all the character-building mistakes and low difficulty they took for granted will blow up in their face. Because by then, a hideous and unforgiving host of enemies and bosses are waiting in line to make the players their chew toy....

The more players level up in Genshin Impact, the more new enemies will appear, especially when they first enter Liyue. Players will have to get familiar with all seven elements and keep in mind what attacks are most and least effective against the enemies in front of them. From identifying the element that the local slimes align with, to quickly noticing a Hilichurls shield, the faster a player learns about their enemies, the better....

Genshin Impact recently released a new promotional video detailing aspects of the game’s upcoming update, some of which are expected, like new characters, and others, entirely surprising. Along with new characters, events, and quests, players can apparently look forward to a cameo from developer miHoYo’s President Forrest Liu. miHoYo announced that the new content coming to Genshin Impact would certainly include exciting never-before-seen quests, characters, and challenges, but an IGN interview has confirmed that one of the new “things” in question is a unique monster based on the company’s own president....

Developer miHoYo has maintained a steady pace for Genshin Impact. Fans have enjoyed several major updates since the game’s release this fall, and it seems the upcoming batch of characters and weapons won’t remain hidden much longer. Travelers have been aware of imminent updates in general, with both miHoYo and Genshin Impact leakers indicating that new regions, characters, enemies, and even weapons are on their way. Though some of this content may not make it into the game until spring of 2021, certain content like the Dragonspine region is expected as early as this month....

Geoff Keighley just released concept art for the brand new Dragon Age, teasing that fans will want to tune in for the Game Awards next Thursday on December 10. It makes sense that announcements are trickling in given that December 4 is ‘Dragon Age Day’ which has seen a fair few other tidbits follow suit, such as BioWare’s own Minrathous Shadows, a short story by Sheryl Chee. What exactly will be shown at the Game Awards is unknown but fans are already flooding Geoff’s mentions begging for it to be more than just concept art....

At a quick glance of the upcoming title, Hoa, you’d never know you weren’t actually looking at a Studio Ghibli movie. That, however, is no doubt intentional. Inspired by the hand-painted style of Studio Ghibli, Hoa - from Skrollcat Studio - features absolutely gorgeous environments and art design, at least from the brief amount of footage we’ve been able to see so far. A 30-second clip of the game was originally posted to YouTube, showing off an enchanting forest from what looks like the perspective of a small woodland creature....
