Ubisoft’s long-touted reworking of Ghost Recon Breakpoint is almost upon. Launching on March 24, 2020, the “Ghost Experience” update will make some radical changes to the base experience that makes everything sound like a much better game. Not only will the needlessly introduced “Gear Score” be gone, but the tacked-on survival will actually serve a purpose. The main thrust of this update is what Ubisoft is calling “Immersive” mode. As the name would imply, this is a way for players to completely drench themselves in the world that is Breakpoint....

God of War: Ragnarok has officially been announced with a new teaser trailer. There are many who have been eagerly awaiting the next installment in the God of War series, and today it has finally been confirmed. As a way of celebrating, Voice Actor Christopher Judge, who portrayed Kratos in God of War, posted a funny video to mark the occasion. Christopher Judge is the current voice actor for Kratos after Judge replaced Terrence C....

Dark Horse Comics is planning to release a brand new God of War comic series this summer, and it will reportedly serve as a prequel to the 2018 PS4 exclusive. Not only that, but the comic will look to fill the long lost gaps between the events of 2010’s God of War III and the most recent PS4 title. God of War: Fallen God will tell a brand new story in the tale of Kratos....

With the announcement of Stadia, Google looks to bring streaming games to players with its powerful new console. However, the platform itself is not the company’s only interest in gaming, as it has been revealed that Stadia will receive its own first-party exclusive titles as well. As indicated in its 2019 Game Developer’s Conference keynote, Google has established its own studio with the goal of creating Google Stadia-exclusive games. Few details on this studio, which is called Stadia Games and Entertainment, are currently known, but the announcement does indicate that streamable gaming may not be the only draw for the platform....

Final Fantasy 15 has been called many things since the game’s release late last year - a masterpiece, an unfinished art project, or often some combination of the two. What Square Enix’s best seller is above all else, though, is an extremely compelling, if flawed, work in progress. That has certainly lent weight to the argument that Final Fantasy 15 is unfinished, but it has also seen the already impressive title become progressively better with each patch Square Enix has released....

Aside from one or two lingering similarities, the battle system in Final Fantasy VII Remake is incredibly different from the one found in the original game. The biggest change is of course the move away from turn-based combat, although there are several other new mechanics that you’ll need to get used to along the way. A new studio created by former Suikoden creator has announced an upcoming Kickstarter in hopes of funding a spiritual successor to the cult classic series. The first game in the Suikoden series launched in the ’90s, with last game coming out in 2006. Since then, Konami has not shown any interest in returning to the series proper. Kickstarter has become a popular tool for developers of beloved series to fund new projects based on these abandoned series, with some of the most successful raising millions of dollars....

In honor of Fortnite’s first birthday, Epic Games is holding a number of celebratory festivities, from special cosmetic giveaways to new themes for the battle bus. But perhaps the ones that have players the most intrigued are the 1st birthday celebrations for Fortnite’s Battle Pass. Luckily, a Reddit user that goes by the name thesquatingdog has created a helpful map that outlines all of the Fortnite Birthday challenges, including the location of all the birthday cakes....

Since it released in early access earlier this year, Epic Games has made sure to support Fortnite by releasing updates on a regular basis. The latest update for Fortnite is for its Battle Royale mode, as it adds a brand new weapon called the Boogie Bomb that players can use to make their enemies dance uncontrollably. Fortnite players are usually able to dance as a means to interact with their teammates or taunt other players....

Fortnite recently launched a new Party Royale mode, giving users a way to play the game without weapons, enemies, or the stress of an ever-shrinking circle. But it seems like there are still a few glitches to iron out, as two players found a way to get themselves killed in the supposedly non-lethal game mode. Everything starts out normal enough in the match, with the two players messing around on an ATV while rocking out to the nearby concert....

Fortnite is bringing back the Mad Titan, with the Thanos Cup set to kick off on June 21. The event will have you competing in Duos matches to earn exclusive rewards ahead of their arrival in the item shop – including the Thanos Outfit and Back Bling inspired By Avengers: Endgame. The Thanos Cup will be your first chance to unlock Thanos as a playable character, although you’ll find most of the rewards available in the Item Shop later this month on June 26....

Gamers have been very critical of the way many game developers have handled DLC and expansions for video games. Some of the most critical players claim that developers are looking to rake in as much money as they can from a single game, without providing any more content than they have in the past. Whether or not this is true, there’s no doubting that the discussion has become fairly heated as of late....

Live-action anime adaptations are especially difficult propositions. Recent adaptations of Tokyo Ghoul, Death Note, and Attack on Titan were all met with mixed reactions (and the less said about Ghost in the Shell, the better). On the other hand, Takashi Miike tends to strike gold with the genre and has turned challenging works likes Phoenix Wright, Terra Formers, and Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure into worthwhile films, while the recent live-action take on Gintama was surprisingly impressive....

GameStop was forced to miss out on a big opportunity during the unprecedented rise of it’s stock prices last month. In late January, several day traders on Reddit, specifically the r/WallStreetBets subreddit, noticed that several large hedge funds were shorting GameStop stock. What this means essentially, is that the hedge fund managers had borrowed the stocks and sold them, assuming that they would fall in price, so that when they bought the stocks back to return them, they would make a tidy profit....

The beta period for the multiplayer component of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition came to a close yesterday, and its developers at The Coalition have released an infographic detailing exactly how much carnage players caused over the eight-day test. Gears of War fans will be happy to hear that plenty of action went down during the special event. Apparently, a group of 786,415 players managed to complete over a million matches during the course of the beta....
