Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and Epic Games has decided to celebrate with a special Fortnite event. This celebration, called “Share The Love,” is live until February 27, and it offers players a new set of challenges to complete as well as festive cosmetics to acquire. Among these cosmetics is the free Cuddle Hearts Wrap, and players that want to add it to their caches must simply enter a Creator Code, through the game client, before February 22....

Kickstarter’s most successful board game campaign has come to an end, setting a new record for funding. Frosthaven, the follow-up to the sprawling dungeon crawler Gloomhaven, is the new record-keeper on Kickstarter. Frosthaven’s campaign brought in a staggering $12,969,608 through 83,193 individual backers. It’s a record that’s difficult to imagine being broken anytime soon. For those unfamiliar with Gloomhaven or Frosthaven, they’re both colossal fantasy RPGs in which up to four players cooperatively take on dungeon crawling scenarios....

After weeks of discussion online about the various ways to interact with showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con Game of Thrones panel, it has now been confirmed that they will no longer be attending the event. The news also includes the cancellation of director Miguel Sapochnick, Ian Glen, and Nathalie Emmanuel from attending the panel. The remaining panel members include actors Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Raleigh Ritchie (Greyworm), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Isaac Wright (Bran Stark), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), John Bradley West (Samwell Tarly), and Conleth Hill (Varys)....

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has revealed that the studio is currently hiring for the next Borderlands game, referring to it as “the big one.” Pitchford took to Twitter on Thursday to squash the idea that Gearbox was only assisting with a spin-off Borderlands title, a rumor made popular by industry insider Jeff Grubb on his gaming news show on YouTube. Pitchford claims in his tweet that these rumors are “not accurate” and that any future Borderlands games, whether they be main entries or spin-offs, will be solely developed by Gearbox....

Gears 5’s first multiplayer tech test is set to begin on July 19. The test will offer players their first opportunity to play Gears 5’s Escalation, Arcade, and King of the Hill multiplayer modes, while also serving as a test for certain in-game systems and features. The Gears 5 tech test is available to those who have pre-ordered the game, as well as all current Xbox Game Pass subscribers on both PC and Xbox One, and can be downloaded now....

Gears 5 is showing up in a big way during E3 2019, with the upcoming third-person shooter debuting a new trailer and confirming a September 10 launch date. To cap off an impressive E3 2019 showing, an exciting pre-order bonus featuring The Terminator was also revealed. The DLC pack will be a cross-over tie-in with the upcoming movie Terminator: Dark Fate and will feature several of the movie’s characters as playable in Gears 5....

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play, open-world, action RPG, gacha game released in September 2020 on PC, PS4, Android, and iOS. It’s safe to say that as of version 1.4, there are more sword characters in Genshin Impact than any other class. Even without including Ayaka, who is only available in the beta, there are eight sword users, nine if you count the geo and anemo Traveler separately. Surprisingly, a fair number of these characters are actually best used in a support role instead of the class mainly playing a DPS role....

GLOW was recently canceled by Netflix despite having already been renewed for a fourth and final season. The fourth season of GLOW was already in the midst of production when the COVID-19 pandemic forced Netflix to suspend filming in Mid-March....

Sony Santa Monica Studio is preparing to unleash the God of War once more, announcing the forthcoming action game’s release date in a brand new story-focused trailer. PlayStation 4 owners will be able to purchase the forthcoming action epic starting on April 20, just three months from now. God of War will be Sony Santa Monica Studio’s first fully internally developed title since 2013’s God of War: Ascension on PlayStation 3....
