Game of Thrones is seemingly impossible to end. It’s so impossible to end, in fact, that the man who created Westeros and knows the actual ending of the story has been trying to write the penultimate book in that story for eight full years now. Therefore it fell to David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the two dudes contractually obliged by WarnerMedia to end the story…to finally end the damn thing. They do so in Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 6 “The Iron Throne....

Games Workshop took to Twitch earlier today with a live preview of some of the many exciting tabletop projects it has been working on. Outer Wilds is a first-person space exploration game that plays hard with gameplay and story integration. The plot revolves around players exploring as much of their surroundings as they can as the Sun—yes, that big bright ball powering our galaxy—takes its dying gasps. Once it dies, the player goes out with it, only to be transported back in time to twenty-two minutes before the sun dies. Time loop shenanigans! Gotta love ‘em....

Frogs of the order “Anura” are a group of mostly carnivorous amphibians. Like all of their kind, they live on or near water, spending the first half of their lives as fully aquatic creatures before metamorphosing into four-legged creatures that breathe air rather than water. Most frogs will spend the rest of their lives in a semi-aquatic lifestyle, often diving beneath the surface to avoid predators or seek prey. To call the launch of Aliens: Colonial Marines disastrous for SEGA and Gearbox would be something of an understatement. The game was met with a swathe of bottom-rated reviews and widespread criticism of its sub-par gameplay, but most of all was heavily criticized for failing to live up to the quality that was indicated by the misleading demos and trailers being peddled by the publisher. In the ever-fluctuating character tier lists of Genshin Impact, one character has consistently remained at the bottom of the rankings since the game’s launch: Amber. Claymores, also referred to as “greatswords,” are one of five weapons currently available for use in Genshin Impact. They’re much slower than most other weapons, but generally offer increased damage output in exchange for reduced mobility in Genshin Impact. Normal Attacks with a claymore consist of wide sweeping moves for the most part, while Charged Attacks tend to involve either the wielder spinning in a circle or widely slashing away, non-stop until their stamina is depleted....

Genshin Impact 1.3 introduced Xiao, the latest character that players can get via the game’s Wish system. This Polearm-wielding, Anemo channeling warrior is a fierce addition to any party, dealing ferocious damage to his enemies at the cost of his own health. If you’ve been loyal to Sony this generation and like more cinematic based games, then Sucker Punch’s latest feels like the best magnum opus possible for the PS4. On February 5th, 2021, Final Fantasy XIV executive producer Naoki Yoshida officially announced the next expansion to their hit MMO. Titled Endwalker, this expansion is set to take the Warrior of Light to Garlemald and end the battle between Hydalen and Zodiark once and for all. The expansion will come complete with two new jobs and a collection of new content. As with past expansions, there will likely be many changes to the core of the game....

Talking about video games is an industry loaded with hyperbole, whether we’re talking about “jaw dropping” graphics, twists that “made us fall off our chairs”, or describing a fairly standard mechanic with a little extra flourish as being “revolutionary” or “groundbreaking”.
