Sony and Sucker Punch’s upcoming Ghost of Tsushima looks to be a love letter to samurai cinema, so it only makes sense that the estate of acclaimed Japanese director Akira Kurosawa had some kind of input on the title. Santa Monica Studio’s forthcoming action title, God of War, will not have multiplayer, nor will it be the protagonist Kratos’ last game in the franchise. According to God of War’s director Cory Barlog’s discussion with the Spanish gaming outlet Level Up, the forthcoming title won’t include a multiplayer mode, which was initially put into the franchise with the PS3 prequel, God of War: Ascension. Not to mention, the God of War director went on to confirm that we won’t be seeing the last of Kratos in the new game, as he should make an appearance in subsequent releases....

Godfall released a launch trailer earlier today, showing off more of its fast-paced looter-slasher action. However, there’s an interesting detail mentioned in the fine print at the end of the footage – Godfall is only a PS5 exclusive until May 12, 2021. While we haven’t heard anything from Gearbox, that leaves the door open for Godfall to make an appearance on Xbox Series X sooner than expected. We’re not sure current-gen consoles can run the game, but it’s also possible we may see it land on PS4 and Xbox One....

Square Enix drops a new teaser video for Final Fantasy 15’s first major post-game DLC pack - the Moogle Chocobo Carnival - which will be available to all players on January 23. Despite some players feeling that Final Fantasy 15 remains unfinished even after a decade of development, it’s hard to deny that the final product is filled with enough content to keep players preoccupied for quite some time. For those who have managed to complete the main story campaign and the 200 or so sidequests currently available, prepare to fire up the game once again because a special in-game event will be available in just a few days time....

In the latest step on the road to regaining player confidence, developer Bungie has implemented several changes to Destiny 2 including faster movement and special recharge, buffs to a large variety of weapons, and unique rewards for the weekly Nightfall strikes, the first of which has now been discovered. The reveal comes courtesy of the subreddit for Destiny 2, where some dedicated fans have posted images of the new loot. Ubisoft community representative UbiJurassic reveals in a forum post that the upcoming For Honor requires a constant Internet connection, even in single player. When the hack and slash action game For Honor was first revealed at E3 a couple of years ago, it was met with great enthusiasm from the community, with many viewing it as a genuinely fresh gaming experience. Unfortunately, Ubisoft has made a number of decisions since then that has rubbed some fans the wrong way, the latest of which is that For Honor will require a constant Internet connection to function – even for those playing single player....

Epic Games has revealed it is working on a way for Fortnite players to stage Mini Battle Royales within Creative Mode. Season 7 of Fortnite brought with it a lot of changes. One of the biggest additions to the Fortnite experience was the introduction of Creative Mode, which provided players with the ability to create their own maps and points of interest. Some people got incredibly creative with it and even saw their creations featured in Battle Royale mode as part of The Block....

As if Epic Games didn’t have enough going on with Fortnite right now, the company has decided to go ahead and start revealing new content we can expect to see in Season 4. From a brief tweet and new in-game comic, it’s clear that Thor and Galactus will soon be heading to Battle Royale Island. A comic book featuring Thor can now be found on the main menu, hinting at the arrival of both the God of Thunder and cosmic entity Galactus....

The whole legal fiasco between Epic Games and Apple (also Google now) over Fortnite being booted from the App Store has led to all sorts of opinions among nearly everyone else.
