One of the most exciting parts of any remake is seeing beloved characters get beautified. Graphical advancements always lead to new designs and fancy new digs for classic characters. Now, having been absent from the WWE for well over a year, Punk looks to be returning to video games, this time as a playable fighter on the roster of EA Sports UFC 2....

Epic Games took a chance on Fortnite, originally set to only be a cooperative experience that pit players trying to protect a player made the structure from waves of zombie-like creatures. After spending a long time in development, the game launched last July and wasn’t the smash hit Epic was hoping for. However, once the team added the free to play PvP Battle Royale mode, things turned around and eventually the game went on to become the smash hit many know it as today....

Since the debut of its Battle Royale mode, Fortnite has become incredibly popular, as evidenced by streamer Ninja breaking the viewership record again with over 667,000 concurrent viewers. Despite the occasional bugs and issues, such as the double pump shotgun, the game maintains this momentum. Even bugs like this recent one that lets players consume shield potions instantly can’t derail the momentum of this hype train. The recent bug is very useful for players, as it can save a gamer in a pinch....

If not for the game’s unique take on the battle royale formula or abundance of skin crossovers, Epic Games’ Fortnite battle royale may be best known for its teasers. Horror fans rejoice! Friday the 13th: The Game, an asymmetrical multiplayer game that puts players in the shoes of Jason Voorhees, has been successfully funded on Kickstarter, and is slated for release in October of 2016. Friday the 13th reached its $700,000 Kickstarter funding goal with about three days left to spare in the campaign....

Final Fantasy VII Remake only covers the Midgar section of Final Fantasy VII. As such, most fans realized that they weren’t going to see all of the playable characters from Final Fantasy VII in the game, as many of them don’t appear until after Midgar. The events of Final Fantasy VII Remake have left the door open for new characters to join the party, as the game is no longer bound to the story of the original game....

Gearbox Software has been taking fan criticisms to heart. Despite the commercial success of the game, Borderlands was a tad repetitive. Everything from loot to enemies felt too recycled for most tastes. Borderlands 2 will make a stronger effort to change all of that, and promises to make the player’s experience consistently unique, or at least feel more varied. To achieve this, Gearbox has put their time and focus on guns, gear and loot in general....

While the wide world of Genshin Impact offers plenty of distractions and activities, some quests naturally end up being more of a priority than others. That’s especially true of the Wenut Tunnels and the massive Setekh Wenut boss that lives in them. Actually, anyone who has unlocked Alhaitham (one of Genshin Impact 3.4‘s new characters) will certainly want to battle Setekh Wenut in order to start upgrading their new hero. While it’s thankfully not too difficult to defeat Setekh Wenut, finding the monster’s lair in the Wenut Tunnels can be a bit tricky....

In the Genshin Impact Version 1.2 update, players were introduced to the new Dragonspine location, the new boss enemies that reside there, and an important, new item known as Crimson Agate. With over 50 deposits to find, many players are having difficulty locating and accessing the crystal locked behind the gated cell. An essential ingredient for leveling up the Frostbearing Tree, Crimson Agate is a necessity for all Genshin Impact players who want to get their hands on the Warming Bottle, which helps to negate the new Sheer Cold status effect....

Last September, Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan gambled that global audiences were ready to return to movie theaters in force with the cerebral blockbuster Tenet. But it’s anemic $20 million opening in North America (over two weekends in many markets) scared away Hollywood distributors for the rest of 2020. In fact, WB eventually pushed its entire 2021 film slate onto a “hybrid” model of simultaneous theatrical and HBO Max releases. In retrospect, perhaps we were all just… waiting for Godzilla?...

Even though Cyberpunk 2077 is set over half a century into the future, in many ways we’re already living in that dystopian world. Billionaire executives largely call the shots in our society while workers are forced to deal with whatever decrees are handed down from above, whether that leads to mass layoffs or unfair working conditions. However, we’re seeing some hopeful signs that workers are starting to fight for their rights....
