April 13th marked the beginning of Epic Games’ Fortnite World Cup, a series of weekly challenge events leading up to the tournament finals at the end of June. The prize pool for the World Cup Finals is listed at a whooping $30 million dollars, though with the money Epic makes off Fortnite, this barely puts a dent in the company’s finances. Even so, Epic still takes cheating in the tournament seriously, and it apparently caught a significant number of Fortnite World Cup players cheating....

There’s nothing more frustrating than being in the middle of a match in Friday the 13th when all of a sudden the host disappears from the game. This has been an ongoing issue for players for quite some time, but fortunately, the developers have a solution. A new currency, appropriately christened Salt, will be making its way to Friday the 13th very soon. However, instead of using this currency to buy something cool, it will be used to send quitters to the Salt Mines....

A few days ago, the gaming world seemed to grind to a complete halt as the G4TV, X-Play, and Attack of the Show! Twitter accounts all simultaneously tweeted a cryptic teaser trailer accompanied by the phrase, “We never stopped playing.” While teasing G4’s return caused many to cheer, it made others stop and wonder what this new G4TV would look like. One of the complaints thrown around when Super Mario Odyssey was released was the crazy amount of Power Moons there were to collect in the game. Sure, you only needed to collect 124 of them to beat the base game, and it’s only possible to get 462 before the final boss battle, but when everything’s said and done, there are 880 unique Power Moons to collect across the various kingdoms Mario can explore....

As part of Genshin Impact’s newest event, The Chalk Prince and the Dragon, players are tasked with powering up an ancient, magical sword called the Festering Desire. During the second Act of this event, one of the objectives is to get the unique weapon to refinement rank 2, something that under normal circumstances would be impossible without getting a second copy of the weapon. Valheim remains one of the most popular games on Steam, currently sitting at fourth on the top-sellers list. Summons have been a staple of the Final Fantasy franchise since their first appearance back in Final Fantasy III. Rumors that Final Fantasy 15 would be released on PC have been circulating ever since the game launched on consoles late last year. It has been reported that Fire Emblem Heroes has made almost $300 million in its first year. Former Naughty Dog employee Quentin Cobb recently moved over to the Microsoft-owned company ZeniMax Online. He will be working on a brand-new IP as a Senior Designer, hinting at an upcoming major project for the development studio. ZeniMax Online is a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media, which also owns Bethesda Game Studios - responsible for popular action-adventure titles like the Elder Scrolls series, the Fallout series, and the upcoming Starfield. There’s a new patch available for Fornite on PS4 this morning that is causing some confusion, for both the players and the developer. While the size of the patch seems to indicate that it is packed with new features and/or modes for Fortnite, it’s actually a pretty standard patch that somehow ended up being a ridiculous 10GB. The purpose of update 3.4.4 was to address freezing issues and fix crashes on the PS4, but it inexplicably grew to a size that even threw Epic Games for a loop....

Patch 5.3 of Fortnite brought with it numerous features, many of which are indubitably enjoyed by players of the popular battle royale title. These updated features include the Score Royale limited-time mode (LTM) and the Rift-To-Go item, but some other features managed to sneak in, such as the ability to thank the bus driver. Another shocking feature players have noticed is that rifts are now sending down lightning strikes, which has led to plenty of speculation as to why....

Not too long ago, the prolific Fortnite Battle Royale leaker known as Lucas7yoshi discovered a 3D model and audio files for the Suppressed Sniper Rifle in a recent update for the game, with the gun apparently being referred to as “Athena” in the data mine. Now, it looks like Epic Games has decided to confirm the weapon’s existence, as the developer recently announced the gun will be making its way into the free-to-play Battle Royale release....
