After some careful tuning, Fortnite is ready to bring back one of its most controversial, and arguably fun, weapons. In a developer update this week, Epic Games revealed that the guided missile will return to Fortnite Battle Royale, likely in next week’s update. For those that remember, the guided missile was removed from Fortnite because it was giving those with the weapon an unfair advantage. Essentially, a player with the guided missile could seek out a player in a fortified position and rain explosives down upon them without being exposed....

As the game’s popularity grows, Epic Games keeps adding more content to Fortnite to keep fans engaged. Now Epic has announced the next piece of content coming to Fortnite in the form of a brand new weapon: remote explosives. Epic announced remote explosives for Fortnite on Twitter with an image of how they will appear in the game and teasing that they can be used “from a distance.” It’s unclear at this point how far players will be able to use remote explosives, but either way, it sounds like they could be useful in setting deadly traps for unsuspecting opponents....

Not too long ago, Epic Games offered Fortnite fans an update yesterday as to when the highly anticipated Playground LTM would be available in the wildly popular multiplayer sandbox survival shooter, with the company having then been unsure as to when the mode would release. Now, however, the video game developer’s hard work has paid off, as the feature is now live in the free-to-play Battle Royale portion of the title....

A new hotfix patch for the PlayStation 4 version of Friday the 13th: The Game has recently gone live. The hotfix was announced through the game’s homepage on Facebook. The main issue it will be addressing are the memory leaks that are causing the game to crash. It will also eliminate certain exploits currently being abused by some players, such as a crouch glitch that is being used to access parts of the map that should be off-limits....

Following the release of today’s Destiny 2 Europa trailer, Bungie updates expectant fans with detail about the new destination in the Beyond Light expansion. Among the new media is the full overworld map of Europa, and its major points of attraction. Bungie also revealed today the return of a major character to Destiny 2, Variks, the Loyal. He was found on the Reef during the first game and fled to an unknown location just before the Forsaken story campaign....

Many fans were left shocked when the news broke back in September that Microsoft had acquired ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion. Naturally, the biggest piece of this acquisition was Bethesda Softworks and its various studios and valuable IPs like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. With new games like The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield having been previously announced, many wondered what this would mean for the games futures on non-Xbox platforms....

Games Workshop has teamed up with Pixel Toys and entered the VR games market for the first time with the upcoming Oculus Quest title, Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister. Games Workshop has a long history of licensed franchise games on digital platforms, but this marks the first time one of its IP is headed to VR. Pixel Toys has a good relationship with GW and the Warhammer franchise, having produced the multi-award winning mobile games Warhammer: Freeblade and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar: Realm War....

Microsoft confirms that Gears of War 4 will support crossplay between the PC and Xbox One versions of the game for its multiplayer, campaign, and Horde 3.0 modes. A common thread in Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference was the idea that Microsoft is looking to unify Xbox and PC. One way this unification will be accomplished is by allowing crossplay between Xbox One and Windows 10, and as announced at E3 2016, the blockbuster game Gears of War 4 will support crossplay....

Genshin Impact’s new Dragonspine expansion is absolutely stunning. From its rolling, ice-capped mountains to the wintery wastes of a region far harsher than anything else we’ve seen in the game to date, it’s distinctly gorgeous in a way that just begs you to spend hours in photo mode. The thing is, you can actually only spend about a minute in photo mode before your character just… dies. If you - like me - are the type of person who will spend up to ten minutes trying to get the perfect screenshot of a luscious lake or precarious precipice, then you’d better stock up on revival items before making the trek to Dragonspine....

Over the past couple of months, players have become enthralled with One More Level and 505 Games’ hit indie title Ghostrunner. The game has been celebrated by critics and players alike, with many considering one of the must play games of 2020. Google Play developers should make a lot more money this year compared to last, as Google’s new revenue share model would have cost the company $587 million if it were implemented in 2020. Instead, that money will be going right back to mobile developers. Google recently announced it will cut Google Play store fees to 15% for the first million dollars per year in sales for all developers.
