The video game publisher and developer Ubisoft releases a brand new trailer for its forthcoming title Ghost Recon: Wildlands that focuses on the game’s music. As of late, the developers for Ghost Recon: Wildlands have been readily promoting the game with plenty of action from the title, such as the recently released Operation Skydive gameplay trailer that illustrated how quickly missions can be completed when players work together. Now, however, Ubisoft has decided to shift gears by focusing solely on the game’s music with its latest video that features the talents of Alain Johannes, a longtime musician and producer from Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, and more, delving into how he created Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ signature sound....

Early this afternoon, Santa Monica Studio announced that PS4’s God of War will run “up to” 60 fps on PS5 in backward compatibility mode. By selecting the “Favor Performance” option from the game’s graphical setting menu, the extra power granted by Sony’s next-generation device will be able to propel the framerate much higher than on the PS4 Pro. This isn’t too surprising as a similar thing was announced for Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds today....

One lucky player can start off 2021 right, because a solid gold PlayStation 5 is now available. A single “Golden Rock” version of Sony’s popular next-generation console is on sale via the luxury accessory website, Caviar. As Sony’s biggest console launch, the PS5 is a difficult product to snag. With scalpers dominating the resale market currently, players looking for another option can now check out Golden Rock. The console is made up from about 20 kilograms of 18 karat gold, spread out across 8 separate sheets....

Final Fantasy 14’s most recent expansion, Shadowbringers, released last year in July. However, the expansion has recently been reduced in various sales on all formats, and between that and the recent update of Futures Rewritten adding a host of new content, the game has seen plenty of new and returning players flock back to the game. While progressing through the Shadowbringers content, players will need to complete The Crown of the Immaculate trial in order to progress the storyline....

Final Fantasy VII Remake takes a small portion of the original game, the Midgar chapter, and expands it into a full title more fleshed out than most other RPGs. One way it expands upon the iconic city and its inhabitants is through the side quests. However, not all of these are created equal. While completionists will certainly want to do all of these as they come, and doing so will help better prepare the party for the story encounters, some of them are downright boring....

Final Fantasy 7 Remake normally only allows players to cross-dress Cloud for a brief stint in Chapter 9. And while Cloud’s wearing whatever dress the player earned for him, he can’t fight anyone and has his mobility limited. However, one fan has managed to find a way around this, allowing players to have Cloud in a dress throughout the whole game. But those interested should note that this fan — Twitter user Pryna — didn’t accomplish this via a mod but rather “save editing,” which sees a user manipulate their Final Fantasy 7 Remake save data to get results similar to a mod but not as effective....

There are few better metaphors for American capitalism than the faintly satirical (and deeply bittersweet) conflict at the heart of Kelly Reichardt’s First Cow. Ostensibly a story about friendship between Cookie (John Magaro) and King Lu (Orion Lee) in early 19th century Oregon territory, the title of the film actually refers to a prized bovine living near their rudimentary fort. Not that the cow belongs to the cook or the Chinese immigrant....

Ubisoft reveals the extent of content available for the upcoming closed beta of For Honor, with beta players given access to nine types of hero, with three for each faction. Plenty of gamers were already very excited about the release of Ubisoft’s melee action title For Honor, and that was before the game’s upcoming closed beta was announced. Running from January 26 to January 29, the closed beta will give players a chance to see the game in action, and better get an idea of how development has gone on the title....

Fortnite Season 2 now has a new collection of challenges for players. One of these, For the Bears, requires players to find pots of honey all over the map, and it’s called a Fortnite Ted Offensive challenge. Getting Started Players will have to trigger the beginning of the challenge before going about finding all those honey pots on the map. First, players will have to go to the Weeping Woods, near where the Deadpool challenge to deface the poster was last week....

Fortnite Week 10 brings along a new host of challenges, some of which are giving players the run around. None more so than the challenge requiring players to visit the Agency, Hayman, and Greasy Graves all in one match. This is particularly challenging for a couple obvious reasons. For those less familiar with Fortnite challenges, there have been several times in the past where a challenge asks players to go to one or sometimes several locations during a match, but this is the first time that a challenge has required the player to get to three locations all at once....

Fortnite is taking advantage of the fact many of us are still staying indoors and going all out with special events. While Fortnite’s Nexus War is still going strong until the end of the year, Fortnite has also announced a cross over event with the popular game Rocket League. In celebration of going free to play and overhauling the game experience, Rocket League is hosting a new event. It’s a great time to be a Fortnite fan because the gifts keep on coming, and this time it looks like Rocket League will somehow be involved....

The Avengers is returning to Fortnite’s battle royale in connection with the upcoming Marvel release of Avengers: Endgame. Monday morning Epic Games released its first teaser for the Avengers crossover event on Twitter, which features the Ramirez default character wielding Captain America’s shield. Included in the post is the potential announcement or start date of April 25 and the hashtag #FortniteXAvengers. Since this is the first official teaser for Fortnite’s upcoming Avengers event, little to nothing is known about the event itself....

It’s been a fairly busy couple of weeks for Fortnite Season 3. Last week, the often-rumored Atlantis area, now known as Coral Castle, was finally added to the game, and with today’s Joy Ride update, Fortnite has finally gotten the cars that were teased at the start of the season. Of course, that’s not the only new content they have to look forward to this week, since there’ll be a new set of challenges for them to take on....

Fortnite Season 8 just went live a few days ago, but some fans are already looking forward to the skin they can unlock by hitting tier 100 in their battle pass. The skin in question is called Luxe, and just like with past tier 100 skins, players can unlock new looks for Luxe by completing various challenges in the game. Whereas most tier 100 skins tasks players with earning XP to unlock the new looks, Luxe’s challenges focus on outlasting other players in battle royale matches....

Microsoft Studios is expanding that reach today, as the publisher announced Forza Horizon 4 will come to Steam next month, March 9, and mark the series first entry to the platform. You’ll be able to wishlist Forza Horizon 4 starting today, setting you up for notifications on the game’s launch next month. If you’ve already got buddies enjoying the racer on Xbox consoles, Windows 10, or Android devices, you’ll also be able to join them....
