During a presentation at GDC 2019 earlier today, Google unveiled Stadia, its vision for the future of gaming. Stadia allows players to access games on all kinds of platforms, from their laptops, mobile devices, and TV at the push of a button. However, this accessibility wasn’t the only well-met feature of the platform. Google also confirmed that Stadia would offer cross-platform play. Stadia players will be able to play multiplayer with other players in supported games on other, supported platforms....

Anyone coming from the Arkham series to Gotham Knights will probably have a lot of questions about the many gameplay differences between the two titles. However, “How do I glide in this game?” will probably be somewhere near the top of that list. After all, gliding around Gotham City was a bit part of the Arkham games, while Gotham Knights seemingly asks you to rely on the Batcycle and your grappling hook as your only modes of transportation....

JP Games, the new studio started by Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata, will be releasing The Pegasus Dream Tour next month on June 24. The Pegasus Dream Tour is the first project from the studio, which launched in January 2019. The Pegasus Dream Tour is a Paralympic mobile avatar RPG that will allow players to create virtual avatars based on selfies that can compete in various para-sports such as boccia and track and field in a virtual Paralympic games....

Bards are one of the more fast-paced DPS classes in Final Fantasy XIV. They have been a part of the games’ world since A Realm Reborn, starting the players off as Archers and working their way up to Bards. Their weapon is a bow and arrow, but they also use songs and instruments once they change from Archers to Bards. As a Bard, the player’s job is to do damage output while also buffing up other party members with their songs....

Former Blizzard Entertainment Senior Vice President of Story and Franchise Development Chris Metzen has launched “a grand adventure together” with former Blizzard Entertainment Vice President of Quality Assurance Mike Gilmartin. That grand adventure is named Warchief Gaming, a premiere tabletop roleplaying game development studio to actively create new tabletop gaming worlds and experiences for tabletop gaming enthusiasts. The announcement was posted to the newly-minted warchiefgaming.com website and via the previously established Warchief Gaming YouTube channel....

Fortnite’s Season 7 update is now live, and it’s one of the most substantial the increasingly-popular battle royale game has seen yet. Not only does it add an elaborate Creative Mode and transform part of the map into a winter biome, but it also gives players a brand new vehicle to use in the form of the X-4 Stormwing plane. Like other vehicles in the game, the planes in Fortnite spawn in specific locations on the battle royale map....

Fortnite is deep in its Halloween celebration called Fortnitemares. The battle royale has a variety Halloween-themed challenges including killing ghostly Shadow Midas, riding a witch broom, and finding three Witch Shacks on the map. Before Fortnitemares ends on November 3rd, players can gain XP and unlock cosmetics by completing these spooky challenges. The Halloween challenges were released in stages, and the newest stage brought creepy, Baba Yaga-style witch huts to the already Halloween-updated Fortnite map....

Epic Games has issued an apology to Fortnite players after resetting bases built in advanced zones without forewarning or notification. Fortnite players logged in after the most recent patch to find their Storm Shield Bases, permanent structures players expand over time, in three different advanced areas had been uprooted. Panicked frustration followed, as Epic had reset these areas intentionally, but neglected to tell players about it. According to Epic, the upheaval was a necessary part of the patch....

Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4 has now officially begun and it has brought with it a whole host of changes and new gameplay content for players to interact with. These include an anti-gravity consumable called Hop Rocks and the new location of Dusty Divot which was Dusty Depot before the meteor hit. However, not all of the changes introduced to the game have been so obvious, as Fortnite players have begun to discover some Easter eggs....

In a few hours’ time, the season 6 week 9 challenges for the wildly popular battle royale game Fortnite will launch. Thanks to a few data miners, however, we’ve already learned what those challenges will be. Still, since we are nearing the end of the season, many will likely want to finish up the season 6 week 8 challenges. In Camp Sunshine, a 16-bit horror RPG released in 2016, players assume the role of Jez, who is happily dropped off at summer camp only to awaken in the middle of the night and discover a blood-soaked mess and a killer on the loose. Reminiscent of Friday the 13th, the crowdfunded retro game was well received during the time of its release. Now it’s developers, Fossil Games, a two-person indie development team with a self-professed love of retro gaming, pixel art and horror films, have launched another Kickstarter campaign to fund a prequel, titled Sunshine Manor....

Every month brings with it a new batch of free PS Plus games, and May 2019 is no different. Starting today, the free PS Plus games for April 2019 are no longer available and have been replaced with Overcooked and What Remains of Edith Finch. Both of those games are available to download for PS4 owners right now. PlayStation Plus subscribers with a PS3 or PS Vita may be confused as to why there are only two free games for May 2019, and why they are only on PS4....

BlizzConline, the digital version of BlizzCon, which is described as an “all-digital community celebration and exhibition of Blizzard games and universes,” is scheduled to take place from February 19 to February 20 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The free event, which will provide updates to the highly anticipated Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4, will be available to watch on Twitch and YouTube. Gearbox may have just accidentally leaked the release date of Borderlands 3 and also revealed that it will be on the Epic Games Store. Will Borderlands 3 be an Epic Games Store exclusive? That’s the question Borderlands fans are asking after Gearbox tweeted out the release date of the third installment of the franchise along with another teaser video that seemed to show the Epic Games Store logo. The tweets have since been deleted, but nothing escapes the internet that easily....
