Between 2011 and 2018, the Forza series of racing games had a golden age. A new game was released every year, alternating between Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon. That ended in 2019 when the spin-off Forza Street was released, and in 2020 there was no Forza release. The Forza drought may be coming to an end soon, however, but possibly not with the Forza game that has already been announced. It may be Forza Horizon 5 that launches next....

Friday the 13th: The Game fans, rejoice - a brand-new hotfix for the PC and PlayStation 4 version of the title is now available. Among other things, the hotfix will address a handful of immediate player concerns and remedy a list of post-patch issues. Illfonic’s Joshua Gertz first broke news of the hotfix, which went live today, just a day after it was announced. While the quickness of the fix is a welcome change given past Friday the 13th patch delays, the unfortunate downside is that not every system is getting it at the same time....
Tiltify is partnering with popular Twitch streamers across the globe to help with donations under the hashtag #clausmycause, supporting smaller, lesser-known Twitch streamers who are making donations to various charities this holiday season. Streamers include BigCheeseKit, Critical Bard, Alanah Pearce, and jacksepticeye, who was recently involved in a charity stream that raised over $1.4 million for the Thankmas campaign. The #clausmycause event has well over a dozen streamers participating, and has already begun donating on behalf of Tiltify to several causes....
Funimation has announced that English simuldub releases of its popular anime series will be delayed due to the coronavirus. In a statement released by the compnay, Funimation stated that it is adjusting its dub-production schedule so that its employees can work from home. Simuldub production is being “paused” for the “remainder of the current and upcoming seasons,” and it stated that it will let fans know if that will change....
Death Stranding wasn’t a flop, but it wasn’t exactly an explosion either - its all-time concurrent player peak on Steam is 32,000 players. Hideo Kojima’s last game, Metal Gear Solid 5, peaked almost three times higher. According to Kojima, sales were enough to recoup the costs of development, but he also said in an interview that he “would have created a game that would sell more” if he were a prophet....

Fans of miHoYo’s expansive open-world RPG, Genshin Impact, have been quick to identify the countless treasures and secrets hidden throughout the game. Lately, some devoted fans have begun sharing their fast-travel tips, the most common of which seems to be “bunny hopping.” Genshin Impact boasts a map just as impressive and awe-inspiring as Breath of the Wild, which it’s so frequently compared to. Genshin Impact recently surprised players with the early release of the game’s newest update, Version 1.1. The update introduces several new characters, like the much-anticipated Tartaglia (aka “Childe”), as well as quality of life adjustments and in-game features. Although Version 1.1 marks the end of Klee’s banner in Genshin Impact, it introduces powerful new five-star characters like Zhongli and Childe. Animal Crossing players have had a long and bloody relationship with wasps since the very first game. Wasps were the franchise’s very first “harmful” bug, and while they may have some competition in New Horizons with the inclusion of scorpions and tarantulas, an accidental encounter with a wasp nest is still the king of annoyances in Animal Crossing. Players encounter wasps by shaking trees around their town or island. Atalanta has signed an exclusivity deal with PES studio Konami making it the fourth Serie A club to depart FIFA in the last two years. FIFA has had a hold on the video game football world for a very long time. For a while, Pro Evolution Soccer posed a threat to its crown. PES dropped off somewhat for a while but continues to signal that it is gaining momentum by quite literally taking the rights to use certain teams away from EA Sports....
Final Fantasy 7’s remake has released to an onslaught of critical acclaim. Following the tailcoats of the original, it is a game that has basically everyone’s attention. Along with games that focus on remakes or remasters like Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition S, Persona 5 Royal, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition and Trial of Mana, Final Fantasy 7 Remake has seemingly won everyone over. This is thanks to the expansion of Midgar which is where the entire game takes place as the remake is gonna have a variety of sequels....
