The first footage from Halloween Kills was unveiled today during Blumfest, a one-day online event focused on new and upcoming movie and TV projects from the Blumhouse production company. The sequel to 2018’s Halloween, the successful, acclaimed reboot and follow-up to John Carpenter’s original 1978 classic, is bringing back several legacy characters from that movie, with the teaser giving us our first quick glimpses of three of them. UK-based developer Creative Assembly is looking for new talent, and in the studio’s latest call for applications, it has included an image teasing its upcoming FPS. The game, which hasn’t been revealed to the public just yet, also seems to include several references to Sega properties. Creative Assembly’s latest tease comes with the promise of making something “radically different in the FPS space” should you apply. The studio has several listings for its new sci-fi FPS, but none that reveal much else about its upcoming project....

FlyQuest topped Evil Geniuses in the opening round of the League of Legends Championship Series Summer Playoffs on Friday. After a near-reverse sweep, FlyQuest’s decisive victory in Game 5 staved off the Evil Geniuses comeback. As the third seed in the LCS Summer Playoffs, FlyQuest came into the series as favorites to win against the sixth-seeded Evil Geniuses. With FlyQuest having two strong victories in Games 1 and 2, it felt like a 3-0 series sweep was inevitable....

For The King has an impressive array of weapons. The RPG includes over 200 unique combat items that can be unlocked. Among these are some rare gems worth protecting. There are also a few less than honorable mentions. Juxtaposed against epic tools of destruction are some truly disappointing trainwrecks. Weapons are unlocked, dropped, and discovered as players make their way around the map. Discovering a rare and powerful weapon is one of the game’s many joys....

Shortly after former Red Dead Redemption 2 game designer Colin Bundschu started working at Rockstar Games in November of 2014, he was allegedly groped by Vice President of Product Development Jeronimo Barrera at a nightclub. Bundschu says that Barrera groped him, asked him to sit on his lap, and “rubbed his inner thigh area.” This is according to a new report by Jason Schreier of Kotaku, who interviewed Bundschu, reviewed a document Bundschu wrote at the time of the incident, and also reviewed emails between Bundschu and Rockstar Games HR....

Yesterday, news broke that developer Telltale Games (famed for creating several well-received episodic titles, such as The Walking Dead) had laid off most of its staff in what some believe to be the end of the studio. Since then, one former Telltale employee has taken to Twitter to voice his frustration with his recent retrenchment. Brandon Cebenka, a former character artist at Telltale Games, posted a tweet stating that he had not received a severance package from the developer....

Fortnite has changed up its gameplay by doing an ambitious crossover event with Marvel. Where each player ranks in every Fortnite match greatly depends on where they drop and how much stuff they can gather before the storm begins to close in. While some locations on the Chapter 2 map are far denser with building materials, others have more treasure chests to loot. Some locations even have bosses that protect hidden vaults with powerful weapons locked inside. Each location in Fortnite has it’s own charm, though some are clearly better to drop at than others....

Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer challenge is live, and players are busy scouring the map for hidden items to earn some sweet cosmetic rewards. Players have danced at beach parties and tracked down giant beach balls to make progress toward the Smoothie back bling at the end of the event. Today’s challenge involves searching for three unicorn floats scattered throughout the map, and thankfully there are several of them floating in various bodies of water, so players have options when approaching the challenge....

In order to unlock the week 7 season 9 hidden battle star, Fortnite players need to accomplish several tasks this week such as a staged dancing challenge. Another one of these challenges is to find and pop 10 golden balloons, which is also effectively a race against other players. While there are 20+ total balloons on the battle island, they remain gone once popped by any player. This also means slower Fortnite players may easily show up to any particular location to find the golden balloon already popped, thus requiring more time and effort in completing this challenge....

A Fortnite Champion Series team has been disqualified in the semi-finals after one of its players insulted rival players and said, “I wish I could kill them”. As reported by Dexerto, the trio of paper, neeqo and kwah were competing in the semi-finals of the Fortnite Champion Series, where they failed to qualify for the Grand Finals after being contested by TFC Sharkman, fearfll, and Enquz. The trio was set to compete in the Reboot Round to get another go for the Grand Finals, but paper’s outburst managed to get them completely disqualified instead....

While other games’ holiday season events have already started kicking off, such as Destiny 2’s The Dawning event, which started last week, 14 Days of Fortnite is just getting started after patch v7.10 dropped. Dataminers have gone through the patch files, and have found that in addition to the winter-themed content that is already available in the game, a possible upcoming Frozen Legends starter pack, containing frozen versions of three popular Legendary tier skins, might be available soon....

Fortnite has enjoyed an extremely successful partnership with Marvel, providing players a chance to earn skins of their favorite characters. Now, Epic has pulled back the curtain on another iconic character coming to the game in its Marvel Knockout Super Series. The announcement of the Ghost Rider Cup features a first look at the Ghost Rider skin, which appears to be based on the iconic, Johnny Blaze incarnation of the character....

For the past few weeks, the floating island that debuted with Fortnite’s Season 6 has been making its way around the battle royale map, collecting runes and leaving mysterious craters in its wake. Today the floating island has made its last stop, and the runes have actually started drifting towards it. Fortnite fans have noted that the runes started flying to the floating island overnight, and are slowly making their way to its current location....

Earlier today, h3h3Productions uploaded a video called “Content Nuke - Keemstar” that aggregates a maelstrom of damaging clips of fellow Youtuber Keemstar. The 46-minute video represents Keem as a selfish, disdainful personality that has repeatedly profited off of the suffering of others and is indirectly responsible for the harassment and mental anguish endured by several other creators, including Ethan “h3h3” Klein himself. Throughout the video, Klein repeatedly calls out G-Fuel for continuing to sponsor Keemstar despite his long history of hateful, harmful behavior....
