Fortnite Battle Royale has been available on iOS devices for several months now, but unfortunately, those on Android devices have been forced to wait. Gamescom 2020, the massive Germany-based video game convention, is officially canceled. The Gamescom organization confirmed Thursday morning that this year’s scheduled convention is no longer taking place and that ticket purchases will be fully refunded. The COVID-19 pandemic was cited as the main reason for Gamescom 2020’s cancellation, or more specifically the health and safety of all potential Gamescom 2020 attendees. While the in-person Gamescom 2020 convention has been canceled, the team states clearly that an alternative digital event is currently being planned....

GameStop’s fourth CEO in just three years has forfeited his $98 million worth of shares after failing to meet performance targets. George Sherman’s 587,000 shares were given up alongside 119,000 shares from Chris Homeister, GameStop’s chief merchandising officer, who also failed to meet targets. The filing which reveals the news does not go into any detail as to what performance targets were missed, just that it was a failure as part of a 2019 agreement, when Sherman was granted the shares in the company....

The hunt for a next generation console still continues for many fans, as stock issues have affected both Sony and Microsoft. Now fans have yet another chance to get their hands on a PS5 or Xbox Series X, this time courtesy of GameStop. This information comes by way of a promotional email sent out to those subscribed to GameStop’s email list, but it was still somewhat vague. During an intermission of Sony’s E3 2018 press conference, PlayStation boss Shawn Layden confirmed that God of War is getting New Game Plus mode.
